"Let me first see how much you've grown during this time!"
After the Army General spoke, Zephyr didn't want to waste another second. He stepped forward, his presence like a looming mountain crashing down, radiating a terrifying momentum.
"Shave!!"
His figure vanished instantly and reappeared right in front of Asa. His fist, already cloaked in Armament Haki, smashed toward Asa's face.
The Navy's Six-Style technique—Shave—was almost useless against someone like Asa, whose reflexes were among the best in the world. No matter how fast an opponent moved, unless their speed or reflexes exceeded his or Kizaru's, it was meaningless.
To Asa, such speed was like a turtle crawling.
"General Zephyr, I regretted not fighting you the last time we met. Now, I finally have the chance!" Asa's expression lit up with excitement as he faced the battle head-on.
There was no way out. Asa couldn't break through the Barrier-Barrier Fruit's defensive field. All he could do now was put life-and-death aside and confront the Navy's might with everything he had.
Boom!!
Their fists collided, sending shockwaves through the ground. The frozen surface cracked under the pressure, and the ripples from the impact hit the barrier walls, only to be absorbed and dispersed like nothing had happened.
Asa staggered back two steps, twisted his wrist, and gave a pleased smile. "Such power... no wonder you're the Navy's highest combat force."
"You're not bad either. It's only been a short while since we last crossed paths, and you've already grown this strong. Unfortunately, you chose the wrong path," Zephyr replied, stepping back and shaking his head in regret.
"Wrong path? Hahahaha! That's the funniest joke I've ever heard…" Asa laughed wildly, nearly doubling over.
"Different roads bring different views. Why deny mine just because you're a Navy man? Who decided the Navy's way is the only right one? Hahahaha! Come on—tell me!"
"Hmph. If you won't repent, then you can reflect inside Impel Down!" Zephyr's expression darkened as he prepared to strike again.
"You seem to have forgotten—I haven't even used my speed yet, General Zephyr!" Asa grinned fiercely.
Zzzzzt!
His body instantly turned into lightning and blinked behind Zephyr.
"Careful!!" Kizaru was the only one able to follow his movement clearly.
But his warning came too late. Asa's teleportation speed was beyond Zephyr's ability to react. Even if he could sense it, his body couldn't respond in time. A thunder-cloaked fist struck down like a flash flood.
BOOM!!!
With a dull roar, Zephyr's body smashed into the ice like he'd been struck by a cannonball. He skidded more than ten meters across the frozen ground, carving a deep gash as ice shattered around him.
Even someone like Zephyr couldn't walk away from that unscathed. His internal organs shook violently, and he coughed up two mouthfuls of blood.
"Young Asa… to think you could injure me at your age. You truly are a monstrous talent."
"I hit you that hard, and you only coughed up two mouthfuls of blood?" Asa's expression turned serious. That attack hadn't been at full strength—but with speed added to it, it was still devastating.
Zephyr's durability was nothing short of terrifying.
"Garp, step in," Sengoku said, stroking his braided beard with a frown. "Asa hasn't even used that form… the one called 'Thunder God,' right?"
Sengoku had a clear grasp of the situation. Asa now had enough strength to match Zephyr. But Zephyr, who had lost his family to pirates, had long lost his fighting spirit—and couldn't bring out his full strength.
On the other hand, Asa was burning with conviction, unfazed by life or death, allowing him to fight at full power—no, beyond that.
"Help??" Asa instantly caught Sengoku's words.
Though he was surrounded with no hope of escape, he hadn't fought enough yet—he wasn't ready to face Garp's iron fists.
"Then I'll start by killing the weaker ones…"
Even knowing he'd ultimately lose, Asa still wanted to drag someone down with him. As the thought crossed his mind, his eyes gleamed with cold bloodlust. His body turned into lightning and vanished again.
Whoosh!
In the next instant, Asa reappeared in front of Vice Admiral Tsuru. His outstretched hand, crackling with electricity, transformed into a massive thunder claw that closed in on her head with crushing force.
"No—be careful!!" Kizaru shouted a warning.
Asa's sneak attack on Zephyr had already put Sengoku, Garp, and Tsuru on high alert. Even without Kizaru's warning, their reactions were primed.
The Navy's Iron Triangle hadn't earned its name for nothing. Their positioning allowed them to instantly cover one another.
Truthfully, Vice Admiral Tsuru was Asa's best target. Of the three, Aokiji and Kizaru weren't coordinating. If he could eliminate Tsuru, it might rattle Sengoku and Garp enough to create an opening.
A madman might gain power—but they also lose clarity. Asa was betting everything on that thin line.
"You damn brat—take a punch from me!"
The trio responded the moment Asa made his move.
Just as his thunder claw reached Tsuru's head, Garp exploded into motion. The moment lightning flared, he let loose a punch filled with terrifying Haki.
The air shook from the force, a shockwave ripping outward. That punch alone could shatter mountains.
And yet, Tsuru's expression remained calm. She raised her wrinkled hand, cloaked it in radiant light, and defended herself.
BOOM!!
Sengoku transformed in an instant. His giant golden Buddha form radiated power as light poured off him in waves. He raised a glowing palm, and a white shockwave condensed in his hand.
"Great Buddha: Shockwave!!"
These three had crossed seas together and fought countless battles—their coordination was flawless.
BOOM!!
Asa's giant thunder claw clashed with Garp's Iron Fist, triggering a violent explosion. Thunder was forcefully dispersed, and Asa's hand, torn from its elemental form, trembled violently.
In that split-second pause, the shockwave from Sengoku arrived, crashing directly into Asa's exposed arm.
BOOM!!!
Pain surged through Asa's nerves. His right hand was crippled on the spot. If he hadn't partially retracted it in time, his entire arm might've been destroyed.
"Hahahahaha! This is… so exciting!" Despite the pain, Asa only laughed harder, descending deeper into madness.
"Heaven's Judgement!"
His free left fist morphed into a lightning beam and fired at Sengoku. But Sengoku had already withdrawn, breaking the Iron Triangle formation.
