Chapter 104: Mischia Olga

Asa leapt from the sea and confronted Garp and the others. His strength had nearly returned to its peak, and the lingering toxins from the city had been completely purged from his body.

With power restored, his battle spirit surged. Facing Garp—whom he'd lost to twice already—naturally reignited his will to fight and reclaim his pride.

At that moment, the lantern fish, scorched by Akainu's magma, surfaced violently from the deep sea. It opened its colossal mouth and swallowed all three warships—along with Vice Admiral Garp, Vice Admiral Tsuru, and Akainu.

Just as it began closing its jaws and preparing to dive once again, Asa flashed like a streak of lightning, darting through the narrow gap between its teeth.

...

The lantern fish dove back into the ocean's depths. Even in the pitch-black abyss where light could not reach, the golden lantern atop its head gleamed brightly.

It swam toward unknown waters...

"Pfft hahahaha!"

Laughter echoed through the lantern fish's belly. Even after being swallowed, Garp remained unshaken. Only someone truly fearless could laugh in such a situation!

Vice Admiral Tsuru stood with arms crossed. Though elderly, she was calm and composed—someone who had seen enough chaos to remain unfazed by even this.

Akainu, on the other hand, was still young—only 28 or 29—and his composure wasn't as refined. As a Devil Fruit user in close proximity to seawater, a flicker of unease crossed his face.

Inside the stomach, filled with corrosive acid, fragments of islands floated amid the bubbling acid sea. Scattered bones and debris littered the grotesque environment.

The island remnants constantly hissed under the acid's corrosion. Any warship landing there risked being digested. The sailors aboard had gone pale with terror.

"Stay where you are," Tsuru instructed, "Vice Admiral Garp, Vice Admiral Sakazuki, and I will scout ahead."

"Yes, ma'am!!"

Though rattled, the marines responded like trained elites, clinging to discipline.

"I just saw that brat Asa. If he's in here too... we'll arrest him again—right in the belly of a lantern fish! Hahahaha!" Garp chuckled, nonchalantly picking his nose as he led Tsuru and Akainu onto the acid-washed "island."

...

Meanwhile, hidden among the rubble not far from the trio—

"Oh? Hey, hey, hey! Another fool chasing this treasure—my treasure that could buy the whole world! Hehehe! No one loves money more than I do!"

A short girl with blonde hair and a bowtie grinned wickedly, muttering to herself. Behind her stood a small green lizard-like dragon.

Her voice—unfiltered and loud—was clearly heard by the trio. In an instant, Akainu vanished and reappeared behind the rubble, grabbing the girl by her collar.

"Who are you?"

"Yo! Let me go, you greedy scumbags! That pure gold is mine!"

She kicked and flailed, but her limbs were too short to even reach Akainu. She failed to realize she'd just exposed the secret—pure gold.

"'Pure gold'?" Tsuru immediately locked onto the term. "Does something so unrealistic actually exist?"

"Yo? I... I said too much!"

The blonde girl slapped her hands over her mouth, seemingly shocked by her own slip.

She wasn't just any girl—she was Mischia Olga, the terminally ill daughter of Mischia Arcier, the scientist who'd accidentally discovered pure gold. Somehow, she had lived for nearly two centuries!

"Hmph! I'm not telling you anything! That treasure is mine! Miiiine! Mwahahahaha!"

...

Having passed through the lantern fish's esophagus, Asa finally entered the stomach, trailing just behind Garp and the others.

He could've arrived earlier, but he'd paused to fully recover his strength. Only at his peak could he hope to challenge Garp's monstrous fists.

Zzzzt...

The electricity around him slowly faded.

Using his isolation stance to swim for so long had exhausted him. And now, after witnessing Garp and the others being swallowed, he knew the journey ahead would be perilous.

He had to be at full power.

He activated his internal radar, spreading it to its limit and scanning the lantern fish's stomach. In an instant, he locked on to the Navy trio's position.

"Found them..." Asa smirked, then transformed into lightning and streaked through the air toward them.

On the acidic "island," Akainu still held Olga, his expression dark, restraining the fire boiling within him.

"Where is the pure gold, girl?"

"Don't be afraid," Tsuru added gently. "We won't harm you."

"Hmph! I'm not telling you where the pure gold is—! Uh oh!" Olga hastily covered her mouth, having nearly revealed the location again.

"Hehehe! Let me go and I'll take you to it!" Her expression shifted again—panic replaced by cunning.

Akainu released her collar and placed her back on the ground. "Don't try anything clever. The Navy's patience is limited."

"Hmph!" Olga turned her nose up. "I hate creepy guys like you! Let me go, and I'll have Elizabeth take me—oops!"

"Hahahaha! What a funny little girl! We're all ears!" Garp laughed, poking his nose.

...

Asa nearly stumbled mid-flight. This girl clearly couldn't keep a secret—she blurted out nearly everything on her mind.

Whoosh!!

A flash of blue lightning tore through the sky, approaching the docked Navy warships in an instant.

At the same time, Garp and Akainu looked up.

"You really came too, Asa?"

Garp cracked his knuckles, a grin spreading across his face.

"Vice Admiral Garp... seems fate wants us to meet again today!" Asa descended with a smile, his tone as casual as if greeting an old friend.

But within his chest, his fighting spirit boiled over.

The first time he met Garp, he'd been powerless. The second time, at the Sabaody Archipelago, he'd barely managed to land a hit under siege.

But now—he had developed his ultimate defense. As long as Garp couldn't break through his isolation field, he could not be harmed.

"You again, you annoying brat... This time you won't escape!" Garp threw off his coat of justice.

"Once I capture you, I'll bind your hands, feet, and collarbone in seastone to wipe away the shame of your Impel Down escape!" Akainu's body began to glow, black smoke rising as molten magma dripped from him.

The air grew heavy.

The clash was inevitable.
