"A meteor… turned into a human!!"
Asa descended from the sky, stepping out of a crackling burst of lightning, stunning the pirates on board.
"Captain, what should we do?!"
All eyes turned to Abarro Pizarro, waiting for his command.
"Kid, do you know whose ship this is? You think you can just borrow it, meow?" Pizarro, over three meters tall and as fierce-looking as a lion, growled menacingly—but the "meow" at the end of his sentence made the entire thing sound absurd.
Then again, the sea was filled with odd quirks—though few spoke quite like a cat.
"Hahahaha... Aren't pirates the kings of the sea? We take what we want, borrow when we like, and pay only if we feel like it. Since when did I need your permission?" Asa said, grinning as he looked up.
His unrestrained laughter made Pizarro's expression turn cold. The glint of violence sparked in his eyes—he was ready to snap at any moment.
Known as the King of Evil, Pizarro was infamous for his explosive temper and foul character. Even his loyal subordinates weren't safe when he got angry.
"You've got guts. Let's see how long that attitude lasts once I crush your bones!"
Without another word, Pizarro's massive frame launched forward from the bow of the ship like a lion let loose from a cage. His furious charge made even his own crew tremble.
From Asa's perspective, Pizarro's strength was at least on par with a Vice Admiral of the Navy Headquarters—far above average pirates. That sudden burst of power was enough to make Asa take mild notice.
No wonder he ends up in Level Six of Impel Down in the future.
Still, that kind of strength no longer impressed Asa. Only true Admirals could command his respect now.
The Admirals were the Navy's top combat force, and they were far from weak. If they were, how could they maintain control over the Grand Line?
Pizarro's charge sent powerful winds rippling toward Asa, his long hair billowing. He was nearly a meter shorter than Pizarro and smaller in build—but in terms of true power, even two Pizarros wouldn't match him.
As Pizarro lunged, Asa sidestepped calmly. Ignoring the full-force blow, he raised his hand and chopped swiftly at the back of Pizarro's neck.
"Bang!!"
Caught off guard, Pizarro stumbled forward and smashed headfirst into the ship's solid wooden cabin.
"Boom!!!"
A massive hole burst open in the structure, and the ship rocked violently under the impact.
Sawdust flew through the air before everything fell silent again.
"I just wanted to borrow the ship. Was that really necessary?" Asa dusted off his white robe and looked around calmly.
The pirates on deck were frozen in place, not daring to move.
"Set a course for the Chambord Islands," Asa ordered.
These pirates had been forcibly recruited by Pizarro. Their loyalty was nonexistent. Now, seeing their captain floored in an instant, they didn't even attempt to fight back.
Under Asa's cold gaze, the helmsman quickly took the wheel and corrected the ship's course.
"Kid!! I'm gonna kill you, meow!!"
Pizarro, though struck hard in the neck, showed no signs of injury. His vitality was monstrous.
Tearing off his torn clothes, he stepped out of the wreckage. His body was a mass of muscle, riddled with scars and bullet wounds.
"Go to hell, meow!!"
His twisted face looked like a vengeful ghost. His cat-like eyes gleamed with murder. At some point, a modified flintlock had appeared in his hand—and he pulled the trigger without hesitation.
While the guns in this world didn't always look impressive, their power and range could be deadly. There were countless sharpshooters on the sea.
Van Augur of the Blackbeard Pirates could snipe targets beyond the horizon. Yasopp, Red-Haired Shanks' sniper, was said to be able to shoot the antenna off an ant without touching the rest of it.
They were truly terrifying.
Pizarro's aim wasn't poor either. As he pointed the gun at Asa, he used Observation Haki to predict Asa's movements, and Armament Haki to coat the bullet.
"Bang!!"
Sparks burst from the muzzle as a Haki-infused bullet shot toward Asa like lightning.
The bullet's coating disrupted Asa's electromagnetic field, preventing him from using magnetism. But Asa didn't even flinch.
With a mocking grin, he did the unthinkable—he opened his mouth and bit down on the bullet mid-flight.
"Chomp!"
The bullet stopped cold between his teeth. Asa spat it out with a sneer.
There were no Seastone bullets in circulation yet. Vegapunk's research into Seastone was currently limited to handcuffs and warship plating. Firearms hadn't caught up.
And Asa's jaw strength was inhuman at this point. He didn't even need lightning to handle someone like Pizarro.
Pizarro was dumbfounded. Then, fury overtook him.
He wasn't just angry—he felt utterly humiliated.
"I told you—I'm just here to borrow a ship. Don't force me to kill anyone," Asa said coolly. Though he was shorter than Pizarro, his tone made it feel like he was towering over him.
"I'LL KILL YOU, MEOW!!"
Pizarro had lost all control. Roaring, he discarded his weapon and charged again. As his body moved, a layer of black Armament Haki coated his form.
The sheer pressure of his approach sent shivers through the weaker pirates—some were even blown off the ship and into the sea.
With a roar, he threw a full-force punch across the deck. The impact tore through the air, creating a deafening shockwave.
Almost every top-tier fighter on the sea could use air pressure as a weapon—and this punch showed that Pizarro was at his physical peak.
"Lie down!!"
Asa narrowed his eyes and shouted. He didn't dodge—instead, he launched himself forward.
The deck shattered beneath his leap. Without using lightning, his speed still exceeded most people's.
Asa lunged in close, extending his hand like a claw. Just as Pizarro's pupils shrank to pinpoints, Asa's fingers wrapped around his neck.
With one clean movement, he lifted Pizarro and slammed him into the deck.
"Boom!!"
The impact was devastating. Pizarro's skull hit the floor, and his consciousness faded instantly.
He collapsed—completely unconscious.
