Tsunade, who wasn't engaged in any research, sat on the sofa, visibly drunk and smelling of alcohol. She spoke indifferently:
"It's just a small amount of money... a necessary loss for scientific research. It doesn't matter!"
Uchiha Yuma was genuinely shocked.
"In my previous life, I was a worker. In this life, I'm a ninja. Even though I'm part of the Uchiha clan, one of its top members, because of my investments in Tsunade's Wood Style research, I'm now living a tight life with no savings," Yuma thought, baffled by how so much money had been spent in just a few days.
He could still tell who was at fault, though. Quickly helping Shizune and Tuntun, who were apologizing needlessly, he said:
"Hurry up, Shizune and Tuntun, this isn't your fault."
Turning to Tsunade, he said with a serious expression:
"What are you going to do about the money?"
"What should we do? Didn't we say it's an investment in scientific research?" Tsunade replied.
"Ha? That's just wishful thinking. You gambled it all away!" Yuma exclaimed.
"Tsk~! That brat! What do you want?" Tsunade muttered in frustration.
Yuma couldn't help but feel helpless. What could he do to Tsunade? She was the granddaughter of Senju Hashirama, a ninja princess of the Land of Fire. What was he going to do—ask for a loan? That was out of the question.
Shaking his head, Yuma sighed helplessly:
"I really can't do anything about it, Teacher Tsunade. We can talk about money later. I came here today to ask you for a favor."
"Huh?" Tsunade looked up, relieved to move away from the money talk. "Tell me, what do you want?"
"I want to check the locations of all the sealed places the Senju have used over the past thousand years. I believe the information is in the Senju mansion, right?"
Tsunade didn't question his motives. Instead, she immediately used her chakra to sober up, stood up, and said, "Let's go, kid."
"Thank you, Tsunade-sensei!"
"Hmph! If there's any benefit, call me Tsunade-sensei. If there's none, I'm Tsunade-senpai, you slick brat!"
"Hey hey hey... Tsunade-sensei is right!" Yuma responded with a smirk.
"Boy! Watch me!!"
—Bang!
After a brief fight, they successfully arrived at the Senju mansion. Finding the document Yuma wanted wasn't difficult. After all, the Senju clan wasn't composed of ordinary ninjas. Uchiha and Senju, two of the founding clans, were like monk sects in the ninja world, and no one would let important records like sealed lands go unrecorded.
As Yuma had expected, Tsunade quickly led him to the Senju library, and they soon found the scroll.
"Boy, this is where our family has been sealing difficult enemies for thousands of years. But do you want this so you can release them?" Tsunade asked with a confused look.
Yuma didn't dodge the question. He trusted Tsunade's character—she was noble, with a moral compass not inferior to Jiraiya's. After all, as a doctor with a reputation for integrity, Tsunade had earned her place as one of Konoha's most respected figures.
"I want to release this person," Yuma said, his face serious as he showed Tsunade the name on the scroll.
Tsunade listened, then waved her hand, saying, "What are you waiting for? Let's go together!"
...
The location from the scroll wasn't too far. Yuma understood this well. In the previous game, the villains and scientists looking for funds used similar scrolls to track down their targets. This time, with Tsunade and Shizune, Yuma ventured into a spacious cave where the seal was located.
Tsunade raised an eyebrow as she inspected the seal:
"This seal... it's powerful... and stupid!"
Yuma, surprised, turned to her. "Tsunade-sensei, this seal was created by your ancestor. How can you say that?"
"Why not?" Tsunade replied, grabbing the scroll from his hand and pointing to the seal with disdain. "When I pulled out the scroll, I thought it was foolish. Now that I'm here and see the situation of this seal... it's honestly ridiculous!"
"Just tell me the conclusion, don't be so dramatic, Tsunade-sensei!" Yuma urged.
