Haku stumbled out from behind the dense trees, his body covered in streaks of violet blood, his chest heaving with exhaustion.
Mey froze the moment she saw him, her heart pounding in her chest. Her pistols lowered instinctively, the tension in her fingers easing.
"Haku," she breathed, her voice trembling.
He managed a faint smile, though his exhaustion was evident.
"I'm alive," he muttered, his voice rough
Mey blinked rapidly, her thoughts catching up with the moment.
"What… what happened back there? How are you even standing?"
Haku exhaled heavily and crouched near the stream to wash his hands. His mind retracing every step of his escape.
Flashback: 5 Minutes Ago (how he beat The Crazy Prison Guy)
Haku kept running the same route, his sharp mind analyzing every inch of the terrain. As he sprinted past a corner for the third time, he noticed it—a thin but sturdy tree leaning slightly, its base worn and weakened. It was perfect.
He didn't hesitate. With each pass, he fired one or two precise shots at the tree, chipping away at its base. His plan was clear: when the moment was right, the tree would fall, creating the perfect trap for the Crazy Guy.
The Crazy Guy's roars echoed behind him every step.
"COME BACK HERE, YOU MY LITTLE BUTTERFLY! WE NEED EACH OTHER, REMEMBER? HAHAHA!" His manic laughter carried over the sound of clicking pincers and hissing scorpions chasing close behind.
Haku kept his breathing steady, pacing himself as he guided the chaos. The Crazy Guy and the swarm were relentless, but that was exactly what he needed. His eyes flicked toward the tree as he approached it one last time.
This is it.
Haku darted around the corner, his pistols ready. The tree was barely standing now, its base splintered from his earlier shots. He heard the pounding footsteps of the Crazy Guy and the skittering legs of the scorpions closing in behind him.
He slid into position, steadied his aim, and exhaled slowly.
"Now."
Two sharp shots rang out.
The tree groaned, tipping over just as the Crazy Guy rounded the corner at full speed. His wild grin faltered, his massive body unable to stop in time. With a loud crash, he tripped over the falling tree, his momentum sending him sprawling face-first into the dirt.
The scorpions didn't hesitate.
As soon as the Crazy Guy hit the ground, the swarm descended on him. Their pincers and stingers tore into his flesh, His laughter—maniacal and defiant—echoed even as they tore him apart.
"HHAHAHAHA! AM I YUMMY?! HAHAHAHA!" he bellowed, his voice growing weaker with each word.
The frenzy reached its peak as one of the last five scorpions focused on his head- crushing it completely, silencing the laughter for good.
Haku didn't waste a second. With precise, controlled movements, he raised his pistols and fired five quick shots, each bullet finding its mark. One by one, the scorpions collapsed around the remains of the Crazy Guy, their bodies twitching before going still.
Silence reclaimed the battlefield.

Present Time
Haku and Mey stepped closer to each other, the silence between them heavy. Their eyes met—both filled with shock, exhaustion, and a faint glimmer of relief. For a moment, neither of them moved, the weight of survival pressing down on them.
Mey's breath hitched as a thought crossed her mind.
"I want to hug him…" But her body froze. She couldn't bring herself to act.
Without warning, Haku stepped forward and pulled her into an embrace.
The sudden motion caught Mey off guard. Her eyes widened, her body stiff as she processed the warmth of his arms around her. Slowly, her eyes fluttered shut, and she leaned into him, her arms wrapping around his back.
Neither of them spoke. The embrace said everything words couldn't.
After a few moments, they let go. Mey turned her head, quickly wiping the tears that had started to fall. Her voice, soft and trembling, broke the silence.
"Is it… is it over now? Can we finally go home?"
Haku didn't answer. His sharp gaze drifted to her shirt, now streaked with blood—his blood.
But he stayed silent, his mind racing.
Have we really made it? Just the two of us… Out of 100 people, we're the only ones left.
And then, that silence...
Before Mey could press him for an answer, the room around them began to change. The walls shimmered, then dissolved, transforming into massive panes of glass.
Both of them turned, eyes widening as the view beyond came into focus.
They were surrounded by the vastness of space. Stars, planets, and galaxies stretched endlessly in every direction.
But the most weird thing... they saw...
In the comos were countless floating rooms like the one they had just survived.
Countless rooms floated in the cosmos, stretching infinitely in every direction
Mey gasped, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Wow… Am I dreaming?"
"Her breath caught as she took in the infinite expanse. It was both terrifying and beautiful, as if they'd stumbled into a dream too vast to comprehend."
Haku stared at the scene, his eyes scanning the expanse.
"It's… even more surreal than everything we've seen so far."
A cold, mechanical voice echoed around them:

Suddenly, they began to float. Mey flinched, her arms flailing slightly in surprise. Instinctively, they reached out and clasped each other's hands. Their fingers intertwined, a quiet act of reassurance amidst the overwhelming unknown.
Haku's eyes flicked to Mey's hands, noticing the raw, red marks left from gripping her pistols for so long.
She must have been in pain, but she hadn't said a word.
Their gazes met again, and for a moment, the chaos of the last stages felt distant. There was only the silence of space, their intertwined hands, and the unspoken understanding between them.
