Chapter 155: The Show Begins

"Is it done now? Let's go eat!"

After returning to Moses Adams' car, Jiang Hai casually opened the gift box in his hand. He took out the watch inside and put it on his left wrist. As for the gift box, he couldn't bear to throw it away, so he placed it in the storage compartment in front of the co-pilot seat.

Hearing Jiang Hai's words, Moses Adams started the car and, with a sly grin, said, "Of course! With a watch like this, what kind of banquet wouldn't welcome you? Haha. Honestly, boss, you don't even need to bother with banquets. Didn't you see how the waitresses were eyeing you earlier? Call that number tonight, and I promise you'll have a very enjoyable evening."

"What do you mean?" Jiang Hai, clearly still a bit naïve, looked puzzled. Moses Adams burst out laughing at his boss's reaction—he was such a rookie.

"It's simple," Moses explained. "Didn't the waitress mention that the watch support line is active 24/7 and that they can explain its functions in person? If you don't have anything planned tonight, just call her. Tell her your room number, and soon enough, she'll come by. Dinner, a movie, and then maybe back to your room for a... closer look at the watch. And by then, it'll be so late that it'd be rude to let her go home alone..."

Before Moses could finish, Jiang Hai interrupted, "I can take her home!"

"Uh..." Moses paused, his expression a mix of shock and amusement. Jiang Hai quickly realized what he had just said and smiled awkwardly, scratching his head.

"It's okay, boss, I get it," Moses said, laughing. "But seriously, the rest is up to you. You're in the driver's seat tonight—play it however you like."

Jiang Hai bit his lip, feeling a little tempted but also embarrassed.

"Alright, let's just go eat!" he said, waving his hand dismissively.

With that, Moses honked the horn and started the car.

They returned to the Hilton Hotel and had a simple dinner at the buffet restaurant. By the time they finished their meal, it was almost 7:00 PM. Their next destination: the Standard Hotel in New York's Meatpacking District.

From the outside, the 18-story building seemed ordinary, but its reputation spoke volumes. The clientele consisted of young models eager to make connections and the wealthy elite. This wasn't the kind of place you could get into by cozying up to the bouncers. Without an appointment, entry was impossible.

However, as they approached the hotel, Jiang Hai couldn't help frowning.

This wasn't his first time in a nightclub. Back in China, he'd gone a couple of times with friends out of curiosity. But truth be told, he didn't like nightclubs. The noise and chaos just weren't his thing.

"Don't worry," Moses said, noticing Jiang Hai's reluctance. "This place has a vibe for everyone. You're bound to find something you like."

"I hope so," Jiang Hai replied with a shrug.

They entered through a private passage, but the moment they stepped inside, deafening music hit them. Jiang Hai's frown deepened, but he decided to endure it.

The first thing he saw was a massive T-shaped stage, where a rock band was performing. Their sweat-drenched faces screamed enthusiasm, but the music sounded strange and abrasive to Jiang Hai. Below the stage, a crowd of white-collar workers and opportunistic partygoers waved their arms, shouting and dancing wildly.

In all corners of the room were platforms and cages where provocatively dressed women danced. Men on the floor waved cash, stuffing bills into the dancers' outfits for a chance to touch.

The entire scene was a mix of indulgence and extravagance, leaving Jiang Hai both intrigued and overwhelmed.

"This is too noisy," Jiang Hai shouted over the music, pulling Moses closer.

"Then let's go to the second floor!" Moses replied, though he looked like he'd rather stay.

He led Jiang Hai to the elevator, and when they stepped out on the second floor, Jiang Hai was taken aback.

The second floor was completely different. If the first floor was wild and chaotic, the second was refined and luxurious. The golden-hued corridor was lined with mirrors, and well-dressed women in deep-V dresses and sleek gowns stood chatting in small groups. A few men mingled among them.

Beyond the corridor, a central lounge came into view, dominated by a massive triangular bathtub emitting steam. The dreamy, misty atmosphere gave the second floor a surreal, almost ethereal feel.

As Jiang Hai took in the scene, a woman approached them with a smile.

"Good evening. Do you have an appointment?" she asked.

She looked about 25 or 26 years old, wearing a revealing black dress with a plunging neckline that left little to the imagination. Her heels clicked against the floor, and her confident demeanor exuded a wild charm.

Moses chuckled. "Yes, I have a reservation. Moses Adams."

The woman touched her earpiece, likely verifying their reservation.

"Mr. Adams, welcome. Your room is ready. Please follow me," she said after a moment.

She led them to a private room, which turned out to be quite remarkable. The floor was transparent, offering a clear view of the lively first floor below. Despite the visual connection, the soundproofing was excellent—none of the chaos from below seeped through.

"If you want to hear the music, you can adjust the floor to let the sound in," Moses explained. Jiang Hai shook his head. He was fine without it.

As Jiang Hai inspected the room, the woman turned to them with a sweet smile. "What would you like to drink?"

"Boss, your call," Moses said, looking at Jiang Hai.

"Uh... just beer. A dozen Coronas," Jiang Hai said after a moment's thought.

Moses rolled his eyes. "We'll have a bottle of Hennessy, three dozen Coronas, and surprise us with the rest."

The woman raised an eyebrow, impressed by their order, and left the room with a sway in her hips.

Within minutes, waiters arrived with drinks, fruit platters, and snacks, filling the table.

"Is this the entertainment you mentioned?" Jiang Hai asked, picking up a slice of watermelon.

"Boss, the real fun is just getting started," Moses said with a grin.

Just then, a playful voice called from the doorway: "Hey, handsome guys, can we join you for a drink?"
