Chapter 221: Everything is Yours

"You've changed! You're not the same anymore! Are you crazy?" An Changwu couldn't help but take a step back, his eyes wide with disbelief. He was almost afraid to face Qi Li again, seeing how much she had transformed.

"I've changed? Yes, I have! After I saw your true face," Qi Li responded, her voice steady as she turned her head, completely ignoring the current situation. She continued speaking, unaffected.

"Jiang Hai is my husband. All the memories of you and me have been replaced by him. I'm willing to do anything for him! We used to watch movies, go to parks, shop... Jiang Hai and I have shared all those moments. My first kiss was with him, and my wedding night was with him. My heart belongs to him. As long as he is happy, I would do anything for him. But that's between my husband and me. What do you care about it? If you have time to investigate him, you should focus on raising An's stock!"

After saying this, Qi Li turned and left without looking back. As she passed through the door, she heard a loud roar followed by the sound of something shattering. Qi Li thought she would feel elated, but surprisingly, she didn't.

Instead, she realized that enraging her former love didn't bring her the satisfaction she had expected. In fact, it seemed like she didn't care about An Changwu at all. What occupied her mind now was what he had just said: Jiang Hai.

She quickly exited the villa. Her driver and assistant, who had been waiting outside, were already informed. By the time Qi Li stepped outside, her car was already parked in front of the villa.

Qi Li opened the door and settled into the back seat, though the atmosphere in the car was a bit awkward.

The people outside had already heard about Qi Li's confrontation inside, as many were drivers or bodyguards. They were accustomed to acting swiftly if anything happened to their employer inside. Although they hadn't overheard everything, some words from Qi Li were audible.

"Boss Qi, there's something I'm not sure whether to say... Since you and Jiang Hai are in such a complicated situation now, the chances of you being together in the future might be uncertain... What you said earlier might even backfire on your relationship," the assistant said carefully, noticing the car speeding along the road.

"When did I say I wanted a new relationship? Jiang Hai and I are husband and wife. I can say whatever I want... Forget it, it's pointless to get angry at you. By the way, when do we have some free time? I want to take a vacation," Qi Li replied bluntly at first, then softened as she realized her assistant was only trying to help.

"We'll have time in May. After the three-day May Day holiday, the merger and acquisition of the West Fourth Ring Road should be completed. Then we'll have about half a month with no major events," the assistant responded after checking his iPad.

"Half a month? Then let's find somewhere to relax," Qi Li murmured.

"Going to play? Alright, but... I just bought a house this year, so I don't have much money," the assistant hesitated, realizing that although Qi Li was generous, her finances were strained.

Qi Li, despite her lavish spending, was financially tight. She had recently purchased a 320-square-meter home in the East Third Ring Road, costing nearly 20 million yuan, including the renovations, with 12 million yuan of it borrowed. After paying the mortgage each month, she had little left over.

Looking at the night outside, Qi Li seemed to have made up her mind and said seriously, "Then let's go somewhere that doesn't cost much... let's go to Boston."

"A-choo..." Jiang Hai, back home in Boston, sneezed suddenly, rubbing his nose.

"Are you catching a cold?" Afra, who was standing next to him, asked with concern.

Afra, clearly devoted to Jiang Hai, was completely focused on him. His commands were her orders, and his life was everything to her.

"No, no, I might have just inhaled something irritating. It's probably an allergy," Jiang Hai waved off the concern. With his superior physical condition, it was almost impossible for him to get sick. He guessed the sneeze was caused by an allergic reaction.

"Be sure to pay attention!" Afra said seriously.

"Yeah, I know. It will take some time for Dinah to wake up. Let me teach you to speak first," Jiang Hai, a bit embarrassed by Afra's intense gaze, quickly changed the subject.

Earlier that morning, Jiang Hai had knocked Dinah unconscious, just as he had done with Afra the day before. Instead of binding her, though, he had infused her with spiritual energy. He only allowed others to enter after the energy had taken effect.

Initially, when Dinah's body began to glow and sweat, with black substances being expelled, Afra had been frightened. But upon realizing it was similar to what had happened to her the previous day, she felt reassured and stayed with Jiang Hai, waiting for Dinah to wake up.

Jiang Hai estimated it would take over three hours for Dinah to recover, so to pass the time, he decided to teach Afra to speak.

"Okay, repeat after me. I, Ai, I am Ai. You, You. The man's he is Hey. The woman's she is Who. The animal's it is Aite..." Jiang Hai began the lesson.

Afra, eager to learn and fully devoted to Jiang Hai, followed his instructions diligently. The lesson continued for over three hours. Afra wasn't a blank slate—she already knew how to write English, having learned it in a welfare home. Now, she just needed to work on her pronunciation.

By the time Dinah finally stirred, Afra had mastered hundreds of words and her pronunciation was clearer, though still a bit hoarse.

Suddenly, Dinah coughed up black phlegm mixed with blood, signaling her return to consciousness. Jiang Hai had studied her condition and found that the black phlegm was likely a result of her throat's necrotic tissue being purged as part of the healing process.

As Dinah woke up, she seemed disoriented, but the first words out of her mouth were a single letter: "I..."

It was a small victory, but it overwhelmed her. After so many years of suffering, she had almost given up hope, but Jiang Hai had given her a second chance. The emotion was too much for her, and she knelt, crying in disbelief.

Afra, seeing her friend's tears, moved closer and comforted her.

After a few minutes, Dinah realized what had happened to her body. Embarrassed, she quickly excused herself to the bathroom. Even though Afra had told her about the changes, seeing them in person still shocked her.

Jiang Hai's healing powers were truly extraordinary.
