Chapter 5: Rapid Development

Inside the Prison

Hossam had become excited after absorbing the low-level magic stone and said immediately:

"Status."

[Status:

Power: 20

Speed: 15

Agility: 15

Dexterity: 14

Stamina: 15

Talent: None]

"Wow, I've gained 20 points in each of my stats!"

Hossam said joyfully.

"Well, I guess our path is now paved," Hossam said with a solemn expression.

The Elf looked at Hossam, noticing his happy face, then stood up and said, "Well, human, it's time for me to leave. If anyone discovers me here, I'll be in trouble."

"Oh? You're leaving?"

"Yes, our meeting ends here! But don't worry, I'll come back tomorrow, so be helpful."

Without Hossam realizing, the Elf disappeared before him, and now he was left alone.

"Heh, well, I think this is better. Thanks for everything," Hossam sighed inwardly.

As the silence took over the prison, Hossam sat down, reflecting on his current situation. He felt isolated and weak, but deep within him, there was a spark of hope. He had been given an opportunity to change his fate, and now he had to act.

"I need to find a way to develop myself quickly!" Hossam muttered, going through thoughts in his mind. He knew that he had no other choice but to face this challenge.

He began thinking of things that could help him. He recalled what the Evolution System had said and remembered the Spirit Pills he had gotten. Maybe they could help him speed up the process.

"System! Can I use the Spirit Pills now?" Hossam asked.

[You can use the Spirit Pills. You need to choose how many pills you want to use.]

"Let's try one, I don't want to overuse them."

"Wait, I didn't ask this before: is using the pills the same as using the magic stones?" Hossam asked hastily.

[Yes, the pills and magic stones are the same. The only difference is that the stones need to be crushed and absorbed, while the pills need to be swallowed and they'll dissolve on their own!]

"Oh! Thanks for the clarification. Well, let's begin."

Hossam took the pill and threw it into his mouth. Suddenly, the pill exploded with immense magical energy.

Boom!

The magical energy from the medium-strength pill flooded Hossam's body, spreading and expanding. Hossam felt the power of this energy and felt as though his body was a balloon about to burst.

"Don't panic like last time!"

Hossam shouted loudly, beginning to absorb and refine the overwhelming magical energy. With each absorption, he felt as though his body was being shattered and then healed, but it was just an illusion.

After continuous refinement, Hossam completed absorbing all the energy in his body and felt the change.

"Wow, it was exhausting, but I finished it! Although I didn't refine all the magical energy, I absorbed a lot, and I feel like I've reached the peak of the first magic circle. With another pill, I'm sure I'll break through!!"

Hossam said confidently.

Just as he was about to begin again, he heard footsteps approaching. He wasn't alone after all. He looked around and saw that one of the guards had come close to him.

"What are you doing here?" The guard asked suspiciously.

"I'm thinking about how to leave this place before Jack takes me for execution!" Hossam answered bravely.

"You're in prison, you have time to think. But be careful, Jack won't show mercy if you're not ready."

"I know that, and I need every minute now!" Hossam responded determinedly.

Hossam made use of the time available in the prison to train himself. He started refining the pills, and on his second attempt, he managed to break through the second circle and reach its peak that very night. And so ended Hossam's first day in prison, as he began planning for the next day.

Second Day in Prison

Nothing new happened. Hossam woke up from sleep and started training again. Even though he was a prisoner, the Elves were not heartless. They provided him with all the necessities for survival, like food and water during the day.

At night, the Elf from the previous night passed by for a little chat.

After the Elf left, Hossam took his pills from the system and continued his training. That night, he managed to use more than three pills and broke through to the third circle, reaching its peak.

The speed of his training was unbelievable, and Hossam couldn't believe it himself. In all the works he had followed, there was always fear of destroying the practitioner's foundation, yet he didn't feel any pressure during these breakthroughs. So, he asked his system.

"System, why can I break through without problems? It feels like even if I broke through all the circles at the same time, I wouldn't encounter any issues."

[This is due to your unique body structure. You're a being from another world. Your spiritual roots are stronger and better than other beings, which is why you can break through without obstacles!]

"So that's how it is!!"
