Chapter 7: The Fateful Battle
The atmosphere was tense in the battlefield, where the elven crowd had gathered to witness the epic confrontation between Hassan and Jack. Hassan, with his fists wrapped in magical energy, stood ready, while Jack stood on the opposite side, glaring at him with contempt. Whispers filled the air as the audience's emotions ranged from fear to excitement.
"Let's begin!" Jack shouted, charging towards Hassan like an arrow. The ground beneath them trembled as the battle intensified, and Hassan could hear the cheers of his supporters among the elves urging him to fight.
Hassan skillfully dodged Jack's first strike. Although his body wasn't fully prepared for such a fight, he was determined to stay in the game, thanks to his Iron Fist technique. He prepared to turn this strike into an opportunity.
"This is just the beginning, Jack," Hassan said as he launched a counterattack, stunning Jack with an unexpected move. Hassan was forced to quickly retreat, but that move drew laughter from the crowd.
"Is that all you've got, human?" Jack laughed, momentarily thrown off.
But Hassan wasn't ready to give up. He wasn't just fighting for his life; he was fighting for his dignity. The power gathered in his fist once more, and he dashed toward Jack, launching a powerful strike, but this time, it was even stronger.
Jack's body shook from the impact, and he took a step back, surprising even his followers. The elves around them reacted in astonishment—how could this human have such an effect on Jack?
As the battle continued to escalate, Hassan's energy flowed more intensely, and he became more agile. He felt a renewed sense of determination within himself. He wasn't just fighting for himself, but for the elves who were watching. It became clear that he was igniting a new hope in their hearts.
With the growing excitement, the elves erupted in applause and cheers, further fueling Hassan's fighting spirit. While avoiding Jack's strikes, Hassan recalled the hardships of the past, which gave him even more strength.
The two exchanged blows, their bodies intertwining in combat, until the decisive moment arrived. Hassan unleashed a massive strike at Jack, using all the power he had gained. Without hesitation, he landed the blow directly to Jack's chest, and Jack, unable to withstand it, collapsed to the ground, stunned.
There was a hushed silence in the arena as Hassan's victory seemed unbelievable. No one expected this human to defeat Jack, the fiercest warrior in the Sunset Continent.
"This is impossible!" the Elf King cried from the crowd, his voice filled with frustration. But Hassan didn't have time to relish his victory. He retreated as the Elf King approached him, his eyes gleaming with interest.
"You've defeated Jack and proven that you're strong enough to be here," the King said, his expression stern. "I will keep my promise. You may leave the forest alive."
At that moment, cheers erupted around them, but the King raised his hand to ask for silence. He called upon the Black Elf Squad to assist Hassan in his departure, signaling the beginning of a new chapter in his life.
The Next Day
Hassan woke up to a new morning, the energy from the battle still coursing through his veins. But what awaited him was a touching farewell in a secluded part of the forest. The elf who had helped him before approached with a sad smile.
"You were amazing, Hassan," she said, her eyes shimmering with tears. "But there's something I need to tell you."
Hassan felt a sense of unease. "What do you mean?"
"I'm the daughter of the village chief. Everything I did was because of me. I knew you had the ability to defeat Jack," she confessed quietly.
Hassan wasn't surprised; he had expected something like this. "I felt that. But what does that mean now?"
"It means you were always more than just an ordinary human. You have a power you can't even imagine. But remember, you still need help."
She then advised him, "Listen, Hassan, I want to advise you on the path you should take after you leave. It's the road toward the Sunset Empire."
"Why?" Hassan asked.
"Because it's the best place for people like you. I've heard that it accepts all travelers and adventurers, and given that you're someone without any heritage or origin, it's the best place for you."
"So that's it!!"
She added, "Although this empire has become weak now among the three great empires, remember that I told you it's the empire that gave the continent its name."
"Right, you did say that."
"This name goes back a long time, and the belief about it has remained in our village because of our isolation in the forest. Right now, the empire is very weak because of a great war that took place on the continent. No one knows who they fought against, except for my father and the other empires, but he never told anyone else. However, he always praised this empire to me, and that's why I recommended it."
"If there's anything else you want to share, don't hesitate to let me know!" she said confidently.
"Okay, I'll follow your advice. Thank you," Hassan said hurriedly.
They then exchanged advice on where he should head next, some places being dangerous, others safe. She warned him to be cautious. They laughed a bit and talked, sharing their dreams and fears.
When the time to part ways came, their feelings were mixed. There was excitement for the adventure, sadness at the parting, but also a deep sense of gratitude for what had transpired between them.
"Goodbye," she said, her eyes sparkling.
"Goodbye, I'll never forget your help, Elina!" Hassan replied respectfully.
Hearing her name as he said goodbye, Elina, the beautiful elf, felt a surge of conflicting emotions, but these emotions didn't stop her from bidding Hassan farewell with a charming smile.
"Mm!" She nodded and said goodbye sincerely, then disappeared before the Black Elf Squad arrived.
After the Black Elf Squad arrived, Hassan set out with them, determined to start his adventure in this incredible fantasy world, surrounded by hope and challenges, with pride filling their hearts.
