That night felt colder than usual. The rain poured heavily, accompanied by loud thunder, causing Odel to sit wrapped in a blanket in her room.
"Oh my God, it's so cold tonight!" she muttered.
The girl was still awake, focused on reading a sociology introductory book. It was all because of a misunderstanding with her young professor, who seemed to think Odel was interested in him.
"At least I should be able to answer his questions if he suddenly asks me all sorts of things! I need to fix my image! Oh my God, I'm so embarrassed!" Odel mumbled, hitting her forehead as she recalled the embarrassing incident on campus.
Suddenly, a loud thunderclap made the lights go out. Odel jumped in shock and screamed, as her room was plunged into complete darkness.
"Damn it! Is there a short circuit? Where's my phone? Oh my God!"
Odel fumbled under her pillow but completely forgot where she had placed it.
