Chapter 14- Man Of Honor ll
Tyler's POV
Silence followed immediately.
The room felt suffocating.
My breath was heavy, my pulse a loud, erratic drum in my ears. I could feel the heat rising in my chest, the sheer absurdity of what he had just said making my hands clench into fists.
And then, before I could stop myself—
I laughed.
A sharp, cold, bitter laugh.
This man—this pathetic excuse of a father—thought I would stand next to him at his wedding? Stand beside him, like some obedient little son, smiling while he played the perfect groom?
Over my dead body.
I let the words slip out, sharp and unwavering. "Over my dead body."
The smirk on his face didn't falter. In fact, it grew. His blue eyes gleamed with amusement as he tilted his head, rubbing his chin like he was considering something entertaining.
"Well," he mused, "if that's what you want, I can certainly make that wish come true."
I froze.
