Unwanted Apologies

Chapter 90- Unwanted Apologies

Tyler's POV

I stared at Declan—no, not Declan. That word gave him too much credit. I stared at the man who had no right to stand in front of me, let alone show up at my school uninvited.

I didn't say anything at first. What was I even supposed to say?

That I was happy to see him?

That I was grateful he came to check up on me?

Bullshit.

If anything, all I wanted to do was wrap my hands around his throat and squeeze until he stopped breathing.

Who in the world gave him the right to come here?

Did I ask for him? Did I cry out in the middle of the night, begging for the father who abandoned me to suddenly reappear and pretend to care?

I turned sharply to face the principal, already feeling the anger boil inside me. Mrs. Agnes quickly lowered her gaze, guilt plastered all over her face. And why wouldn't she? She knew she had messed up.

And yet, she still did it.
