"Kai, get up!" Febe's voice cut through the haze, sharp and urgent. He blinked hard, his vision finally clearing enough to see her crouched beside him, blood trickling from a cut on her forehead. Her green eyes burned with determination as she pulled at his arm. "We need to move. Now."

Kai groaned, forcing himself upright. The chamber was unrecognizable—where once the node had stood, a massive crater now gaped, jagged and blackened. The walls were cracked and crumbling, and the faint hum of magic that had filled the air before was now replaced by an unsettling silence. Ignis stood near the edge of the crater, his golden eyes scanning the destruction, while Selene leaned heavily against a wall, her face pale but composed.

"What happened?" Kai asked, his voice hoarse.

"You happened," Selene said, her tone clipped. "The node destabilized, and the fragment amplified the release. You just unleashed a burst of energy strong enough to tear this entire chamber apart."

Kai's stomach sank. "I didn't mean to—"

"We know," Ignis interrupted, his voice calm but firm. "But we need to deal with it later. The Ashen Order will have felt that. They'll come looking."

"They might already be here," Febe muttered, glancing toward the tunnel they'd entered through. Her expression darkened. "This place isn't going to hold much longer."

"There's another exit," Selene said, pushing off the wall. Her voice carried a hint of urgency now. "The Serpent Clan uses it to transport artifacts. It's not far, but if the Ashen Order's already moving, we'll have to fight our way out."

"Great," Febe muttered. "Just what I wanted—more fighting."

Ignis stepped toward the tunnel, his flames flaring. "Let's move. We don't have time to waste."
