Chapter 48: Fight!

Pan knew that if he removed the log too soon, Arnold might die. He had never done something like this before. Most of the wounds he had healed with his quick heal had been small. Nothing life-threatening.

The most difficult thing he had done was Brenda's delivery.

But Arnold needed him. Pan was ready to help him.

He placed his hands over Arnold's chest and injected the man's heart with mana. Forcing it to keep beating, stopping it from slowing down.

The blood began to drip faster.

Pan's face was as if carved in stone, as he took out his apple tree. Grown with Brandon's scale, it had more mana in it than some dungeons could gather in decades.

Pan placed one hand on the apple tree, beginning to take away its mana. It was shrinking in on itself. Its leaves wilting, the blossoms which would have turned into apples falling to the ground.

Pan felt the burn in his heart. He still did not care.
