Chapter 50: Hide and seek.

Pan made small steps, trying to figure out in which direction the minotaur was going to go. He racked his brain for all the myths he knew about the creature.

As legend had it, the very first of its kind had been the product of a woman mating with a deity. Then it had been used for revenge, robbing the youths of a rival city to the one which had given birth to the Minotaur.

Sometime during those robberies, the original minotaur had been killed. And yet, it had managed to mate with a human.

Resulting in the preservation of its kind.

Right now, Pan decided that it was not as important to know the backstory. The minotaur was a cross between an animal and a human. It had the body of a man and the head of a bull.

Not to mention it could heal any wound in seconds and even crush rocks with its bare fists.

Pan knew that he had to poison it, but as he heard the steps continue so, as if the beast was undisturbed, he knew that his poison was not working.
