Chapter 83: Thor’s resolve

Thor was many things: a berserker, something he took pride in, a dwarf, something he was born to, and a protector.

Something he doubted himself worthy of calling himself.

Fiona's words played out in his head day and night. He couldn't sleep; he couldn't eat.

The healing stew had given him a bit of warmth. Had managed to get him to concentrate on the reports before him.

But it was doing nothing for his guilt. It was not going to help him sleep at night, either. He knew that much.

He exited his tent, saw that Pala was sleeping under a barrier, and he decided not to disturb her. She might try to talk him out of it.

 Thor couldn't let her.

As he made his way pass the F-ranked adventurers, he saw that they were all doing drills. He nodded his approval, but as soon as he saw Telets, who was doing the drills at the front of the strange line without looking back, Thor felt shame.
