Chapter 90: Surrounded

Green eyes. Green like poison. Green like a Lich's mana.

Telets knew that there was more to the giant serpent, but now he doubted that they could use the tunnel network if they managed to run away from the giant slime.

He aimed. His hands were shaking.

"Firestorm!" Hazel yelled, as she made something like a shield between them and the giant slime.

But it sizzled away seconds later.

Telets' eyes widened.

"No!" He yelled. How could she do something so reckless?

The mage raised her staff high once more, smiling at him.

"Who do you think you are, telling me what to do?" She snapped, as she eyed the monster which was blobbing their way. "Ok! Once more! Firestorm!"

This time the fires managed to last for about five seconds.

Telets could see how pale she was.

He dipped his arrow inside of the fires, aimed, fired.

If Hazel was ready to use her own soul to power her magic, then there was no place for fear in his own!
