The three of them entered the dungeon with a certain hope that they would be able to get out of it the way they came.
Of course, that was not to be.
The dungeon closed her entrance as soon as they passed through. It was a veteran of more than one raid. It knew, better than most, that if someone ran once, and came back, then that someone was now prepared.
Telets had done just that!
The three boys looked at the remains of the slimes. Telets knew that killing something, which was mindless and couldn't defend itself, was a low blow.
Still, he took point and prepared his bow. The arrow on the string had a rune which was going to rock a house.
A cavern was nothing.
It was only a matter of time, he told himself, before they all, the dungeon core included, learned how to fly.
The arrow was just a scare tactic. Something Telets had no intention of using.
But the dungeon core surely didn't know that.
