Director Carter was a well built man in his early fifties. As an ex field agent, he had been extremely cautious even at home. He lived in a normal neighborhood, just like any other ordinary folks. The only difference was his house was heavily guarded inside. There were two armed bodyguards in the living room and his bedroom was full of sensors, ensuring any intruder will be detected.
Therefore, he was really shocked when he suddenly found that all these were useless. He was fast asleep when he sensed that there was someone else in his bedroom, standing right in front of his bed. He quickly grabbed his gun that he put beside his pillow and pointed it to the intruder.
"Who the fuck are you? What have you done to Nick and Gilbert?" He shouted at the intruder. He could see under the dim light that the intruder was a tall and muscular man in his late twenties. He was unarmed but there was blood stain on his white shirt, and Director Carter assumed belonged to his bodyguards.
"They are still alive, just some of their limbs are broken." The man replied with a cold smile. " In case you don't remember who I am, my name is Ray Coleman."
"Coleman... Alright, I know who you are. You are supposed to be dead, aren't you?" Director Carter began to recall who this person was. "You have one minute to get the fuck out of my house and one day to leave this country!"
"You can pull your trigger if you wanna push your luck." Ray stayed calm while facing Director Carter's roaring.
"Fuck you!" Without further hesitation, Director Carter pulled the trigger and to his surprise, he missed. Ray moved real fast; at the blink of an eye, he was no longer standing in front the bed anymore. Before Director Carter could respond to this change, he was punched on his face and his gun was snatched away.
"Can we talk now?" Ray sat on the bed, just beside Director Carter and asked politely.
"How dare you! You are a dead man now!" Director Carter could not contain his anger and continued cursing.
Ray suddenly grabbed his hand and with broke his middle finger with the other hand. The pain was intensive and Director Carter cried out loud like a baby.
"Can we talk now?" Ray asked again, as politely as the first time. "And you are damned right, Ray Coleman is a dead man."
This time, instead of full of anger, Director Carter was full of fear. Being an ex field agent, he knew all sorts of torturing methods and he realized that Ray Coleman knew them too. "Alright... What the fuck do you want from me?"
"I'm glad we can finally have a face to face talk." Ray began to elaborate his request, "I was sent to uncover General Richardson's dirty deeds and was framed for treason. I want to continue my mission. I want to see the end of General Richardson and his web of sin."
"Well, how could I help you to achieve this? You are officially dead now. You can't go back to Richardson again!" Director Carter was a little helpless with Ray's request.
"I could not go back to Amazon but I can work from here or other countries. I don't want to go undercover anymore. I want to go straight in and get his syndicate busted." Ray was pretty clear about what he wanted. "Give me another lead and I will start from there. Bust them one by one."
"You have failed once. How could I trust you can do it right this time?" Director Carter posted a valid question.
"You can try me. Give me a lead and I give you the result. If I fail, I die. You have nothing to lose." Ray gave his proposal.
Director Carter thought for a moment and then nodded, "Okay. I am happy to see you dead after what you have done to my finger. But, if you suceed, I am happy to see Richardson dead. So, you are fucking right. I have nothing to lose."
"Now we are on the same page!" Ray chuckled.
"Geldof, Frank Geldof. He was a lawyer in Anaheim. Our Intel believes he is one of Richardson's advocate, taking care of his money laundry business." Director Carter finally gave Ray a name.
A name that rang a bell to Ray. "Frank Geldof? Frank fucking Geldof?"
"Do you know him?" Director Carter was a little surprised.
"Just." Ray nodded, "And I would like to get to know him more now."
"Alright. You've got what you came here for. Now get the fuck out of my house!" Director Carter shouted on top of his voice.
"Do you want me to call the medical service for you?" Ray asked before leaving.
"No! Just fuck off!"
Ray stepped out of Director Carter's house and got inside his rented Kia. His next destination was Stitch Bar. He really needed to talk Bob Marvin, supposingly a successful middle man to get to Frank Geldof. He would not want to bother Ellen to get toFrank. Any question about Frank will create more conflict between Ellen and him. He really did not want this to happen for he still loved her very much.
Stitch Bar was located not far away from Disneyland. Stitch, the adorable alien from the Disney animation Lilo And Stitch. Ray loved this movie and watched it many times with Ellen on TV. As a matter of fact, they watched many Disney animations during their high school courting days. All these names somehow brought back fond memories of the good old days when they were together.
Looks like this Frank guy is a rat. He had to dig deeper and uncover his true identity. For himself and for Ellen.
Once Ray stepped inside Stitch Bar, he was welcomed by loud Rock music. There was a live band in the bar playing classic rock and the crowd was dancing to Van Halen's Jump. They literally jumped when the lead singer sang the chorus of the song. This brought a smile onto Ray's face for he had not been to a nice bar for very long time.
Just when he wanted to blend in, he heard a loud slapping sound and before he could figure out what went wrong, a girl had fell into his arms.
