Meanwhile, within the police station from earlier.

The Shylian officer was still nervous although he wasn't doing anything "I think it should have finished by now… Right?"

The Blau annoyingly agreed "I guess… time to go then, just thinking about it has me shivering." The officer opened the door, took a big breath, and then stepped in, before him was the giant mechanical creature from earlier.

"GrrRreeEtings, Officer Joel." The voice that came from the machine sounded like multiple metal gears screeching together slowly creating a comprehensible voice, when it struggles to speak sparks can be seen.

"H-Hello machine, have you found out who's blood it is?" The man sacredly++ asked

"Offff courSssSEeee, the one you seek is ThEseUs LAmbRos, you can finddd him near SolDOna."

"T-Thank you machine, I will leave now."

"HAhHahahahHAHhh, have GREat departure, JOEL."

Officer Joel immediately left as quickly as he could, the Shylian seemed terrified but was still glad his friend was alright.

"Come on Mertins, let's just get this over with."

"Thanks again Joel, really."

"Sure." Joel seemed annoyed but regardless, he had a job to do.

Meanwhile, Baru and Dagoria decided to head into the town centre to let down some stress from the past couple of days, Dagoria wore purple leggings, a white T-shirt, and a short black leather jacket. Baru on the other hand decided to wear ripped blue jeans, a white shirt, and a red and black checkered flannel.

"It's nice to get some fresh air ya know?" Said Baru trying to lighten things up with a smile on his face as they walked downwards towards the town centre.

"Yeah I agree, but Baru, are you sure you're not mad at me for mentioning him?" Dagoria was still upset she even dared to mention Theseus, their friend.

"It's fine really, and I can't exactly blame you, I mean he's the only human you know after all." Baru looked at the ground as his mind went into a haze.

"Well still, next time we see him I'll apologize alright?"

"That works pretty well, but I guess it's more of a if we do see him again to begin with."

"He's probably just rethinking his life, and he doesn't seem like the type of kid to get into trouble."

"I guess you're right, we shouldn't doubt him, ANYWAYS, HOW ABOUT WE GO TO THAT NEW DESSERT SHOP IN TOWN."

"HAHAHA, you're as eccentric as ever, you mean the one near Soldona right?" Dagoria's appearance had brightened, as she laughed.

"That's the one! I heard they have this super cool dish that's like a mess of sorts." Baru could only think about sweets.

"Sounds like a lovely idea." She stared into his eyes for a bit and all she could see was a young boy who loved life so much he wanted to simply share it with the whole world.

Theseus and his group on the other hand were attempting to stop Kancer from attempting surgery.

"NOOOOOOO, COME ONNN, THEY'RE LIKE SUPER VALUABLEEEE WAAAH." Kancer was being stopped by both Theseus and Jun who barely had any strength left.

"CALM DOWN KANCER, YOU CAN HAVE ANOTHER SLIME ANOTHER DAY, THE BOSS SAID HE WANTS TO QUESTION THE SLIME."

"YOU ARROGANT WOMAN, WE WON ALRIGHT JUST RESTRAIN HIM AND DONE." Jun's arms started to hurt more as this went on.

"KANCER PLEASE, I BEG OF YOU, MY BODY HURTS LIKE HELL LET'S JUST GO HOME."

"WAH FINE, OK, FINE, I WON'T DO ANYTHING." She said as she began to pout.

"Whew, Jun do you think you can handle bringing the Slime back? I'm not exactly sure how that works."

"Just let me do it, you two can go ahead and do whatever, consider this what I owe you for back then, but from now on you get no favours."

"But… my special Jun favour..." Theseus weeped.

"YOU DARE EVEN CONTINUE THIS CHARADE-" 

"HAHAHA SEE YOU LATER JUN, GREAT MEETING YOU, LET US GO KANCER." They both quickly left the supermarket and noticed it was quite late, it was nearing night time.

"Want to just go back immediately?" Said Kancer concerned for Theseus's help.

"Well we were meant to just have a day out in the city, so might as well look around for a couple of more hours no?"

"YAY OF COURSE, LET'S GO SHOPPING EVERYWHERE."

"I do not have the energy for this."

"How about, we take things slow first?" Most of Theseus's bleeding had stopped already but he couldn't move however he wanted to.

"Fineeee, how about you decide where we go?"

"How abouuuuuuut."

In the distance across the street, a man could be heard yelling.

"THESEUS? IS THAT YOU MY MAN? IT'S GOTTA BE RIGHT?"

A massive shiver went down Theseus's spine, his eyes widened and adrenaline coursed through his body as if he were about to fight again.

Kancer clinged closer to Theseus and whispered "Want me to take us out of here?"

"N-No you can't it will look weird you're too fast."

Theseus was stuck, as a man who always controlled his fate was stuck, just what should he do?

Baru approached along with Dagoria and greeted the two of them.

"H-Hi Baru, I see you're with Dagoria, w-what are you two doing around here at this hour?"

"More like what have you been up to? You sorta just disappeared on us." Baru seemed upset but was willing to forgive.

"W-Well I sort of, had to, how about we sit down and talk this out."

"That works but only one condition alright? This is extremely serious."

Theseus appeared to become intensely nervous, his mind wandered into all types of possibilities would they want to quit being friends? Never see him again? Get out of his life forever? Just what would he ask the thought nearly killed him.

"I WANT A BIG BIG HUG, ALONG WITH A GREAT EXPLANATION ON WHO THIS GIRL OF YOURS IS, LIKE WOW THESEUS, THEY SAY WOMEN CHANGE A MAN BUT WOAH, BIG CHANGE HUH? LOOK AT YOUR OUTFIT YOUR HAIR EVEN YOU'RE LIKE A DIFFERENT PERSON HAHA, COME ON GIVE ME A HUG."

In an instant all of Theseus's worries had disappeared, he went in for a great hug regardless of his injuries and nearly cried.

"HAHA, You barely changed, do you know a place near here?"

"Me and Dagoria were just going there, come tag along."

Throughout this touching moment, Kancer and Dagoria simply stared at each other as if deep down they both had hatred for one another, even though it was their first time meeting, neither of them liked one another.

"ALRIGHTY, TO THE DESSERT SHOP WE GO!" Said Baru pointing at the shop whilst hugging Theseus tightly.

They all entered and noticed they were the only customers at the hour.

"See? Clearly, fate made it so no stranger would intervene in this reunion."

"I wouldn't see it any other way," Theseus had not smiled this much in a while.

They all sat down at a table near the window, the seats were connected and made of leather, Theseus and Baru sat near the window with their respective friend sat next to them.

"So are you Theseus's girlfriend? You look like a Shylian." Said Baru confronting Kancer.

"Oh no we're just partners at work, and I don't really want to talk about my race."

"Oh? Work? What type of stuff do you do?"

"You know, the usual stuff just some office things."

"Wow, Theseus didn't really strike me as the office type of guy, so you both wear those types of clothes at the office?" Baru seemed to really want the truth.

"And you didn't strike me as the type of guy to ask a lot of questions either."

"Got me there, but hey we learn something new every day." 

Dagoria pulled Baru's shirt as if she were too shy to say what she wanted.

"Ah right, see Theseus, you're not gonna be happy to hear this but you're gonna have to bear with me alright?"

"Huh? What's up?"

"About a day ago Dagoria's house was well, broken into, her family lost a lot of money because of it and well, the police found some blood that appeared human, Dagoria accidentally said your name so you're sort of a suspect now, BUT WE WOULDN'T DOUBT YOU ALRIGHT, YOU'RE OUR FRIEND, it just, well, happened on accident, I'm really sorry." Baru put both his hands together and closed his eyes sort of begging for forgiveness, Kancer seemed even more annoyed at Dagoria.

Theseus was stuck yet again, he knew it was his fault and this would be the right time to apologize, but could he really tell them it was his fault? How would they take it?

"I-It's fine Baru, I don't exactly mind, but well, you see I sort of-" Someone had entered the shop, and it wasn't any ordinary Blau either, it appeared to be a police officer.

"WHAT DO I DO, BREAK THE WINDOW? SIGNAL KANCER TO TAKE THEM OUT? AND RUN? TELL BARU? BUT WHAT IF THE OFFICER HEARS? WHAT IF HE'S ALREADY HERE FOR ME? AAAAHHHHH I JUST, I DON'T KNOW I JUST."

"SORRY BARU REALLY." Theseus smashed the window and began to run as fast as he could, Kancer flipped off Dagoria before joining Theseus, Baru was in shock and the Police officer told his partner to catch the runner, the Shylian quickly got out of his car and yelled at the two of them

"HEY, STOP YOU TWO, DON'T GO ANYWHERE YOU'RE UNDER ARREST." Theseus agitates and runs into a nearby alleyway, Baru jumps out the window and tries to catch up to Theseus for an explanation whilst Dagoria remains seated still processing what's going on.

"WAIT THESEUS LET ME PICK YOU UP QUICKLY-" Kancer takes a second to stop to gain an even bigger speed boost to catch up to Theseus but the Shylian officer shoots at her boot causing it to malfunction having her trip and fall

"STOP RESISTING, QUIT RESISTING AND WE WON'T GO ANY FURTHER."

Theseus stops and looks behind him, he sees his partner on the floor, a police officer aiming a gun at him, never in his life did he think he would end up here, going against the law and becoming a criminal at this point? What would his parents think of him?

"ALRIGHT, I WON'T DO ANYTHING JUST LET HER GO, SHE DID NOTHING WRONG."

"NO! YOU'RE BOTH GOING TO STAY THERE, UNTIL MY PARTNER ARRIVES." Mertins was doing his best to keep everything under control but deep down he was terrified, soon enough Baru arrived and tried to talk things out.

"I-I'm sure you have the wrong guy Theseus wouldn't-"

"Listen kid, our way of identifying subjects is freakishly accurate, that boy over there is a criminal, he committed breaking and entering and if you're friends with him, maybe you should reconsider your friends."

"N-no I mean, he, he wouldn't right? Can I at least speak with him from here?" Mertins had a soft spot for people like Baru, regardless nothing bad would happen since he was the one wielding a gun no?

"F-Fine, but just make it quick."

"Theseus? Did you really break into Dagoria's house?"

"STAY QUIET THESEUS, EVERYTHING YOU SAY CAN BE USED AGAINST YOU HERE." Said Kancer on the floor.

"YES OK, I DID IT BARU, I DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS HER HOUSE BUT I WAS TOLD TO DO IT."

"WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU EVEN DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT TO BEGIN WITH!"

"BECAUSE I WANT TO EXPERIENCE THE WHOLE WORLD ALRIGHT, I WANT TO LEARN AND I WANT TO GO EVEN FURTHER THAN ANY RESEARCHER EVER HAS, AND IF THIS IS THE WAY I HAVE TO DO IT THEN THIS IS THE WAY IT'S GOING TO BE."

"YOU HEARTLESS BASTARD THAT'S NO WAY TO DEAL WITH THINGS, YOUR FAMILY HAS BEEN CRYING EVER SINCE ALRIGHT, HAVE YOU EVEN THOUGHT ABOUT ME AND DAGORIA? WE'VE BEEN STRUGGLING BECAUSE YOU'RE OUR FRIEND, ALRIGHT, AND WE DON'T JUST FORGET ABOUT PEOPLE QUICKLY, REMEMBER WHEN YOU SAID YOU WERE GONNA TEACH US FIGHTING GAMES OR WHATNOT? SURE WE MAY NOT THINK WE LIKE IT BUT WE WOULD STILL TRY IT FOR YOU, BECAUSE YOU'RE IMPORTANT TO US, SO STOP BEING SO SELF-RIGHTEOUS AND EGOISTIC SAYING THIS IS ALL FOR YOUR DREAM, DO YOU THINK WE WOULD HOLD YOU BACK? DO YOU THINK YOUR FAMILY WOULDN'T DO THEIR BEST TO SUPPORT YOU? OF COURSE, THEY WOULD THEY'RE BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE, AND NOW EACH DAY AT SCHOOL I KEEP SEEING YOUR STUPID FACE ON THE WALLS ABOUT YOU MISSING, WELL GUESS WHAT, CLEARLY YOU'RE NOT ANYMORE."

"H-He's right, I'm a terrible friend, I'm fucking worse than scum, maybe I do deserve this, it was a stupid dream anyways, discovering the world? I'm not that special, just because I got a Second Wind doesn't make me much different from others."

"YOU SHUT THE HELL UP YOU RED FUCK, YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THESEUS HAS BEEN THROUGH-" 

"KANCER THAT'S ENOUGH, this is where our journey ends alright, let's just take responsibility for this." Kancer was enraged, her only idol started to give up, and she wouldn't take that sort of answer from someone as great as him, she got up from the ground and quickly ran towards Baru with the intent of hurting him enough to understand what he said.

"MOVE ONE MORE STEP AND-"

"SHOOT ME IF YOU CAN COP SCUM." Kancer dashed left and right dodging every bullet shot at her, meanwhile, Theseus began to catch up.

"DON'T HURT ANYONE KANCER PLEASE, WE'VE DONE ENOUGH."

"AS LONG AS YOU DON'T GIVE UP YOUR DREAM, THEN FINE."

As Mertin began to reload Kancer snatched the gun from him and held him hostage.

"LISTEN HERE BARU, FIRST OFF, I'M A MOUTHLESS NOT A SHITTY SHYLIAN LIKE THIS GUY ALRIGHT, WE ARE WAY DIFFERENT HIS SKIN IS FUCKING DARKER THAN MINE BY A LOT, I'M GREEN LITERALLY OK, AND THESEUS DIDN'T JUST ABANDON YOU ALL OUT NOWHERE AND EASILY, IT WAS A TOUGH DECISION BUT HE WANTS TO DO WHAT MAKES HIM HAPPY, AND IF THAT CAUSES HIM TO STAY LESS IN CONTACT WITH SOME PEOPLE THEN SO BE IT, NOT ONLY THAT BUT TO BE FAIR I DID CONVINCE HIM QUITE WELL SO IT'S NOT ENTIRE HIS FAULT, SO DON'T YOU DARE CALL HIM SELF RIGHTEOUS AND EGOISTIC WHEN ALL HE HAS DONE IS CARE FOR PEOPLE, SURE HIS JOB INTERFERES BUT WITH HIS MINDSET HE CAN MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE IN THIS WORLD." Baru didn't want to agree with what Kancer said, he was also quite mad and tried to attack her.

"WELL THEN MAYBE IF I GET RID OF YOU THEN THE NICE AND PURE THESEUS WILL COME BACK HOW ABOUT THAT." Kancer is well known for killing people easily, Theseus knew this, and as Baru ran at her with malicious intent, she reciprocated it tenfold, she grabbed her knife, poisoned it, and threw it at him, little did she know Theseus was not only close enough, but was also known for trying to save people, he leaped…

"T-Theseus!?" Kancer's eyes widened up as she looked at her idol's lifeless, on the floor, her knife impaling his heart.

Baru held Theseus's hand tightly as he cried. "WHAT THE FUCK HAVE YOU DONE! YOU MONSTER, THESEUS PLEASE, HOLD ON, IT WILL BE FINE, THESEUS PLEASE DON'T GO LISTEN IM SORRY FOR WHAT I SAID OK I'M SORRY, JUST DON'T DIE I BEG, YOU'RE MEANT FOR GREAT THINGS SO PLEASE YOU CAN'T END YOUR STORY HERE." Theseus could barely hold on any longer, he was coughing up blood but attempted to speak as he at least wanted some sort of last word.

"Haha, don't cry Baru, it doesn't suit you." He tried moving his hand to wipe his tears but just as he reached his face, his life had left his body.
