Chapter 26

She held my hand and dragged me towards the dining table without asking whether I wanted it or not.

I badly wanted to yell at her and tell her to let go of me, but I just couldn't. I didn't want to make a scene.

Especially when Francis wasn't around.

They would definitely kill me and feed my body to flies.

We sat at the table and she wouldn't stop smiling at me. It felt as if I had never been out of the room. I was always indoors with madam Olivia. She took the tray from the maids and we were left alone.

As she poured the tea, she spoke. "I heard you killed your mother," she said and I clenched my fists.

I was tired of denying it.

I looked at her and thought; since she thinks of me as a freak, then why don't I prove to her that I'm one?

"It didn't feel as good as I thought it would, though," I answered and a part of me was satisfied with the response that I gave her.
