Queen Venessa gently stroked Ava's hair.
"Don't worry sweetheart. It's all for the best. You marry the wizard and I'll have everything that I have ever wanted. You'd at least be useful for something," Queen Venessa whispered with a smirk flashing across her face.
She gently laid Mala on the ground and she stood up, adjusting her dress as the evening breeze kissed her skin. She walked back into the palace. .. "Carry Ava and get her ready to move," Queen Venessa ordered her sons who were waiting in her room.
King Lucas entered just in time. "Where is my daughter? Where is his highness?" King Lucas asked. His eyes were fixed on Queen Venessa and hatred burned through every word that came out of his mouth.
"I am not responsible for the king's whereabouts, Lucas," Queen Venessa answered, not sparing the king Lucas a glance.
