Celeste Is Not Happy

The next morning, Elk kissed Celeste goodbye as he left for work, unaware of the determination burning inside her. As soon as he was out the door, Celeste began planning her next move. She would not sit idly by while the man she loved suffered.

By mid-morning, Celeste entered Elk's workplace, her calm demeanor masking the fire beneath. She walked with purpose through the building, her glowing eyes scanning the office until she located the HR department.

The moment she stepped inside, the staff froze, startled by her commanding presence.

"Can we help you, ma'am?" one of the HR representatives asked cautiously.

"Yes," Celeste replied, her voice steady but carrying an unmistakable edge. "I am Celeste Takeda, and I am here to discuss the sexual harassment my husband, Elk Takeda, has been enduring at the hands of his superior, Haruka Asano."

The representatives exchanged uneasy glances. One of them, a middle-aged man with a nervous smile, cleared his throat. "Mrs. Takeda, I'm not sure what you're referring to. We haven't received any formal complaints from your husband."

Celeste's eyes flickered dangerously. "That is because every time he tried to address this issue, your department dismissed him. You have chosen to turn a blind eye to his suffering, and I will not stand for it."

"Ma'am, with all due respect, we can't just act on hearsay," another representative said defensively.

Celeste stepped closer, her glowing eyes narrowing. "Then perhaps you would prefer to act on the consequences of your negligence. I have the means to ruin your company's reputation with a mix of truths and carefully constructed rumors. Sexual harassment, negligence, a toxic work environment… Shall I continue?"

The room fell silent, the weight of her words hanging heavily in the air.

"Of course," Celeste continued, her voice icy, "I could also bring this to the attention of labor authorities and the media. I am certain they would be very interested in how you handle employee complaints."

The representatives squirmed under her gaze, their earlier confidence crumbling. "We… we'll open an investigation," one of them finally said, his voice shaky.

"Good," Celeste replied. "But before I leave, there is something I wish to address personally."

She turned on her heel and strode out of the office, her destination clear: Haruka Asano's office.

Haruka looked up from her desk as Celeste entered, her expression one of mild surprise. She hadn't expected a visitor, let alone a woman as striking and composed as this one. Haruka's sharp eyes immediately scanned Celeste, noting her sleek black outfit, glowing blue eyes, and the calm yet commanding way she carried herself.

"And who are you?" Haruka asked, her voice laced with feigned curiosity.

"I am Celeste Takeda," Celeste replied, her tone as steady as a blade. "Elk's wife."

Haruka's surprise gave way to a sly smile. She leaned back in her chair, crossing her legs leisurely. "Oh, so you're the wife I've heard so much about. I must say, you're quite… unique. Elk has excellent taste."

Celeste's glowing eyes narrowed slightly, though her expression remained neutral. "I did not come here for flattery, Ms. Asano. I came to address the intolerable way you have been treating my husband."

Haruka raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. "Intolerable? That's a bit dramatic, don't you think? Elk and I have a… professional relationship. If he's been complaining, maybe it's because he's too sensitive to handle a little teasing."

"Teasing?" Celeste echoed, her voice cold. She stepped closer to the desk, her glowing eyes never leaving Haruka's. "You call sitting on his lap, touching him without consent, and whispering inappropriate comments in his ear 'teasing'? That is not teasing, Ms. Asano. That is harassment."

Haruka's smirk faltered, but she quickly regained her composure. "Look, I don't know what Elk's been telling you, but he hasn't exactly been resisting. If anything, I think he enjoys the attention."

Celeste's hands clenched into fists at her sides, though she kept her voice calm. "Elk has made it abundantly clear that he is not interested in you. He has repeatedly told you to stop, and yet you persist. Your refusal to respect his boundaries is not only unprofessional but deeply unethical."

Haruka laughed, though the sound was hollow. "Come on. He's a grown man. If it was really that bad, he could've done something about it by now."

"He has tried to do something," Celeste replied, her voice sharp. "He went to HR, only to be dismissed. He told you directly, only to be ignored. The fact that he has not been able to stop you is not a reflection of his weakness but of your refusal to listen."

Haruka stood from her chair, leaning forward on her desk with a predatory grin. "And what are you going to do about it? March in here and scare me into quitting? You're cute, I'll give you that, but I don't think you understand how things work around here."

Celeste took another step closer, her glowing eyes locking onto Haruka's with an intensity that made the other woman falter. "I understand perfectly," Celeste said, her voice low and cutting. "You believe your position grants you immunity. You think that because you are attractive and competent, no one will dare challenge you. But you are mistaken."

Haruka narrowed her eyes, her smirk fading. "Are you threatening me?"

"I am stating a fact," Celeste replied. "You see, I am far more capable than you realize. I have the means to dismantle everything you have built—the respect you command, the career you cherish, the reputation you hold so dear. If you continue to harm my husband, I will ensure that your name becomes synonymous with disgrace."

Haruka stepped back slightly, her confidence wavering. "You're bluffing."

"Am I?" Celeste tilted her head, her voice calm but filled with an undeniable edge. "You may not believe me now, but I assure you, Ms. Asano, I do not make empty threats. I have already spoken with HR. They will investigate your behavior, whether they like it or not. And if I find even the slightest indication that you have continued your harassment, I will escalate this matter beyond anything you can imagine."

Haruka's face hardened, though there was a flicker of uncertainty in her eyes. "Why do you care so much? He's just a guy. There are a hundred others like him out there."

Celeste's glowing eyes softened slightly, though her tone remained firm. "He is not 'just a guy.' He is my husband, my love, my reason for being. Elk has more strength, kindness, and integrity than you will ever understand. And unlike you, he respects and values the people around him. That is why I will protect him, no matter the cost."

The silence that followed was heavy, the tension in the room palpable. Haruka stared at Celeste, trying to regain her footing, but the weight of Celeste's words lingered in the air.

After a moment, Celeste straightened, her glowing eyes flickering faintly. "Consider this your only warning, Ms. Asano. Leave my husband alone. If you do not, I will make sure you regret it."

With that, she turned and walked out of the office, leaving Haruka standing in stunned silence.

As Celeste exited the building, her resolve burned brighter than ever. She had taken a stand for the man she loved, and she would not stop until she was certain he could work in peace.
