Based Wife

The office buzzed with its usual hum of chaos, with Takeshi strutting around as though he owned the place. He made his rounds, berating the married men for their supposed "boring" lives and shamelessly flirting with every female employee who crossed his path. His condescending laughter echoed through the room as he taunted anyone who dared to appear even remotely happy in their relationships.

Elk, as usual, kept his head down, typing away at the mountain of work Takeshi had dumped on him. His coworkers avoided his gaze, some out of pity, others because they believed the nasty rumors Takeshi spread about him.

But all of that changed when the door to the office opened and Celeste walked in.

The room fell silent almost instantly as every head turned toward the entrance. Celeste stepped inside with her usual calm grace, her glowing blue eyes scanning the room as if she were analyzing every detail. She wore a fitted black-and-white outfit with green highlights, her short black hair framing her stoic yet undeniably beautiful face.

It wasn't just her face that caught everyone's attention—her figure was stunning. Her large chest and curvy hips left the men staring in disbelief, while her confident stride and aura of elegance had even some of the women stealing glances.

Elk looked up from his desk, his heart nearly stopping when he saw her. "C-Celeste?!" he stammered, his voice barely above a whisper.

The murmurs began almost immediately.

"Who is that?"

"Is she here for an interview? She's gorgeous!"

"Look at her… Is she a model or something?"

Even Takeshi froze in his tracks, his eyes widening as he took in the sight of her. A smug grin quickly spread across his face as he straightened his tie, clearly planning to add her to his list of conquests.

"Well, hello there," Takeshi said, stepping forward and flashing what he clearly thought was a charming smile. "You must be new here. What brings a beauty like you to our little office?"

Celeste didn't respond. Her glowing eyes flicked to him briefly, as if assessing him, before she continued walking past him without a word.

Takeshi's smile faltered, but he quickly recovered, following her like a shadow. "Hey, don't be shy," he said, his voice oozing with false charm. "I'm Takeshi Arata, the manager here. If you need anything—and I mean anything—I'm your guy."

Celeste ignored him, her focus fixed on Elk's desk.

"Elk," she said softly as she approached, her voice cutting through the room like a blade.

Elk stood awkwardly, unsure of what to say. "Celeste, what are you doing here?"

Before he could say anything else, Celeste stepped forward, cupped his face in her hands, and kissed him.

The office erupted into stunned silence as Celeste pressed her lips against Elk's, her movements confident and deliberate. Her kiss was firm and dominant, her glowing eyes flickering faintly as she entered "make-out mode." Elk's face turned bright red as she tilted his head slightly, deepening the kiss.

The murmurs started up again, louder this time.

"Wait, what's happening?"

"Is she… kissing Elk?!"

"No way that's his wife… Is it?"

When Celeste finally pulled away, she kept her hands on Elk's face, her glowing eyes meeting his with an intensity that left him breathless. She turned to the room, her voice calm but loud enough for everyone to hear.

"I am Celeste Takeda," she said, her tone unwavering. "Elk is my husband."

The room exploded with chatter.

"What?!"

"Elk's wife is her?"

"No way… How did he—?"

Takeshi's smug grin vanished, replaced by a scowl. He stared at Elk with barely concealed jealousy, his hands balling into fists. "This guy? You're telling me you're married to this guy?"

"Yes," Celeste replied bluntly, her expression betraying no emotion. "And he is far more of a man than you will ever be."

Takeshi opened his mouth to retort, but Celeste raised a hand, silencing him. "Before you embarrass yourself further, let me share something with everyone here."

Her glowing eyes flickered as she accessed her internal systems, pulling up a wealth of information she had uncovered about Takeshi during her research. "Mr. Takeshi Arata," she began, her voice steady. "Fired from his last job for sneaking into the women's locker room. Multiple HR complaints filed against him for harassment, all swept under the rug due to personal connections. And now, here you are, continuing your predatory behavior unchecked."

The room fell silent again, the air thick with tension.

"You have harassed and demeaned your employees," Celeste continued, her voice growing sharper. "You have created a hostile work environment, forcing others to suffer for your insecurities and misconduct. You are unfit to lead, and your actions will no longer go unnoticed."

Takeshi's face turned pale, his confidence crumbling as Celeste exposed him in front of everyone. The murmurs among the staff turned into outright condemnation.

"Is that true?"

"I knew he was gross, but I didn't know it was that bad…"

"He shouldn't even be here!"

Takeshi stammered, trying to regain control of the situation. "Y-You can't prove any of that!"

Celeste's lips twitched into the faintest hint of a smile. "I already have." She turned to the large screen on the office wall, where she had remotely projected the evidence—emails, complaints, and even the termination letter from his previous job.

The staff gasped, and Takeshi stumbled back, his face red with humiliation.

By the time Celeste finished, the office was in chaos, with employees calling for Takeshi's immediate removal. Elk stood beside her, still reeling from the events but unable to stop the small smile spreading across his face.

"You didn't have to go that far," he said softly, though there was no mistaking the gratitude in his voice.

Celeste looked at him, her glowing eyes softening. "Yes, I did. No one has the right to treat you—or anyone else—this way."

As Takeshi stormed out of the office under the weight of his disgrace, Elk couldn't help but feel a sense of relief. For the first time in a long while, he felt like things might finally be looking up. And it was all thanks to Celeste, the woman who stood by him no matter what.
