“Blake could help with that, if he doesn’t mind,” Silas suggested, his voice calm but expectant. Jezebel’s expression brightened with hope as she turned her gaze to me.

“Uh, I don’t know…” I scratched the back of my head, avoiding her eyes.

As much as I wanted to help, there was no telling what my blood might do—or not do.

“Don’t talk about blood so lightly,” I muttered, trying to steady my voice. “Besides, I’m not pureblood like my sister. And doesn’t this kind of thing need a blood transfusion? Same blood type and all that? Plus, he’s a vampire, and—”
