Contentment/Epilogue

Later that evening, everyone gathered around the dinner table. Jezebel had extended invitations to Jake and Liam, while I’d invited Gray.

As we sat together, I couldn't help but feel a wave of gratitude wash over me. Lily’s efforts had ensured the safety of everyone I held dear. While I mourned the loss of those I may not have known, I found solace in the fact that none of my loved ones were taken from me.

Silas walked in with a vampire I didn’t recognize. He took a seat at the far end corner of the table, his gaze avoiding everyone.

“There’s something about him.” I thought to myself

“There is” Ginevra gave me this weird accusing look

As I continued to observe the vampire, a sudden realization struck me. It was him, the Night Hunter I turned.

All eyes followed me as I rose from my seat and approached the unfamiliar vampire. He visibly tensed as I drew near, but I paid no mind, leaning in to sniff his scent.

“Blake,” Jezebel’s cautionary tone cut through the air.
