Contracted beasts make summoners. Summoners had the ability to manipulate soul energy. Sam Delon had high hopes for him to awaken his summoned beast. He opted to be the first in his family to awaken and lift them up from the trenches of poverty. To make them happy. The day of his awakening had arrived, he was vouched by many and regarded by all. What happened? Guess he was not a summoner?

Not a summoner

 "Erm, captain, excuse me." came Landon's voice from the rear side of the group. 


 Chris came to a halt, so with everyone else. He turned to Landon, his brows raised. 


 "Sorry to bother you, but we have been walking for thirty minutes without encountering any monsters. Don't you think it's odd?" Landon said. 


 He had been keeping tabs on everything, but there was nothing. The team had only been walking on the green field that stretched out endlessly. 


 "Are you saying we should go back?" Chris tone came out harsh and threatening making Landon shudder. 


 Landon bent his head, trying to formulate a reply. 


 "No, that is not what I mean. I only..." He tried to clarify himself. 


 "Then you'll do so to shut up." Chris said with authority. "And lest I remind you who the leader is." 


 Seeing how irritated Chris was, Landon quickly apologized. "Am sorry." 


 Chris words were harsh. He spoke rudely to and rebuked the poor Landon whose intentions were good.
