"Hmph."
Hearing those words, Vitte's face immediately grew darker. He glared fiercely at Kailar, then struggled to straighten his body. With his subordinates in tow, he headed toward the outskirts of the battlefield.
As he passed by Django, his face twisted into a scowl. He opened his mouth as if to say something, but in the end, he simply snorted coldly before shoving through the crowd and leaving the harbor.
By now, he had realized he'd been tricked by the Black Cat Pirates. However, given the unfavorable situation and the fact that the casualties were mostly ordinary crew members while the officers remained unharmed, he decided to swallow his anger and leave for the time being. After all, the Silver Shark Pirates had over a hundred members, so this wouldn't significantly impact their strength.
"Not even a parting insult, huh?"
Under the wide brim of his hat, Django's lips curved into a cold smirk. His gaze shifted to the Tardo Pirates in the distance. "Fine, let's follow the captain's orders and end this fight quickly."
"Hehahaha, Ghost Blade Kailar and Heavy Blade Biggie… both are notorious pirates with bounties in the millions. Truly not to be underestimated…"
Muttering to himself, Django reached into his sleeve and pulled out a circular saw. He hooked his finger around the thin wire attached to it, causing it to swing in mid-air.
"Alright, Black Cat Pirates, listen up…"
He paused halfway through his words, waiting for all his subordinates to focus their attention on him. Only then did he continue, his voice cold and commanding: "When you hear 'One-Two-Django,' your strength will increase dramatically, your courage will double, and you'll feel no pain. After that, you will charge at full speed and kill every enemy in sight."
"One, two…"
As he counted, Django tilted his hat down, hiding his heart-shaped sunglasses. "Django!"
In the next moment!
All the Black Cat Pirates froze for a split second before erupting into a frenzied roar. Amidst the deafening chaos, they brandished their weapons and charged toward Kailar and his group.
Although the Tado Pirates were mostly composed of elites, the sheer madness of the scene caused many of them to pale.
"Ahahaha, they may just be a bunch of nobodies, but there sure are a lot of them."
Biggie chuckled, planting his massive naginata into the ground with a thud. "This time, I can finally kill to my heart's content, right?"
"Hmm, so it's 'Hypnotist' Django, huh? Starting off with this trick right away… he sure thinks highly of us. But…"
Kailar maintained his usual composed—almost cocky—demeanor. Glancing at the suddenly fired-up Biggie beside him, he flicked away his cigarette butt and smiled faintly. "Everyone's pretty exhausted by now. If we keep fighting, the casualties will be heavy. At a time like this, do you think our captain would still be sitting back and watching?"
"Hmph, you cocky brat. I'm always busy, you know. What do you mean by 'sitting back and watching?'"
As if responding to his words, a gruff voice suddenly boomed from the ship.
"Huh?"
On the deck, Shanuo, who had been leaning against the railing to watch the fight, was startled by the sudden voice. He quickly turned his head and saw the short, stocky figure of Tado standing beside him, glaring down at the pirates below with a rather displeased expression.
"What the… Uncle Tado, you were here the whole time?!"
Shanuo was stunned. Damn it, why do pirates in this world always appear silently out of nowhere like that?
"Of course I was. Red-Leg entrusted you and Sanji to me," Tado said, rolling his eyes. "Compared to Biggie and the others, keeping an eye on you two brats is obviously more important."
"Still, you really surprised me, kid."
Tado pointed to the corpse lying on the deck. "That guy had a bounty of 3 million berries, you know. I was about to step in myself, but when I saw you take him down with a single slash, I was pretty shocked."
"Heh…"
Hearing the compliment, Shanuo scratched the back of his head sheepishly, stealing a glance at Sam's corpse, which he had turned into a pincushion.
So that guy was worth 3 million berries?
In that case, if the Navy puts a bounty on me after this, I should at least get 5 million berries, right?
If that's the case, doesn't that make me one of the top dogs in the East Blue?
As Shanuo reveled in his thoughts, he suddenly noticed Tado turning around. The older man extended his right arm in front of his chest, assuming a stance that seemed to gather power.
What's he doing?
Shanuo blinked in confusion at Tado. The Black Cat Pirates were about to clash with Biggie and his crew, so if Tado planned to join the fight, why wasn't he heading down? Why was he striking a pose on the deck?
Then.
In the next moment, Shanuo's jaw dropped, his eyes filled with shock.
Before him, Tado's muscular arm began to transform into a dark green hue. Thick, viscous liquid started to ooze from its surface, pooling on the ground like muddy water.
"A Devil Fruit…?" Shanuo was stunned.
What's going on? Isn't Tado known for his close-combat swordsmanship? He's even nicknamed 'Butcher Blade.' When did he become a Devil Fruit user?
And this ability… it looks familiar. Could it be…
"Swamp Gatling Gun!"
Suddenly, Tado roared, swinging his now-transformed arm downward. The viscous liquid on his arm fragmented into countless tiny droplets, raining down like a torrential storm onto the Black Cat Pirates dozens of meters away!
Whizz!
In an instant, the air was filled with the sharp sound of wind as the droplets pierced through the sky. Most of the Black Cat Pirates, who were under the effects of Django's hypnosis, didn't even notice the incoming attack. Only a few with stronger willpower looked up in confusion, their faces turning to terror as they saw the oncoming rain of mud.
"What the hell is this?!"
"So much of it—who's behind this?!"
"Damn it, there's no way to dodge!"
Even if they noticed, it was too late for any resistance.
In the next moment, amidst a chorus of screams, over a hundred pirates were struck by the rain of mud. The droplets, propelled with immense force over dozens of meters, tore through their bodies instantly, leaving no chance for survival.
