A pause.
Then, Olivia's lips curled into a delicate, almost wistful smile.
"And I hope," she said softly, "that if—someday—the innocent Rose mistakenly frames any of you, if she ruins your reputation, if she turns you into the villain… you'll be able to forgive her, too."
The silence that followed was deafening.
Rose's smirk faltered, a flicker of unease crossing her face. Natasha swallowed, shifting uncomfortably in her seat.
Even Avery, so confident in her authority, found herself momentarily at a loss for words.
Without giving Avery a chance to speak, Olivia sat down in her seat.
Though it seemed she was at a loss, the reality was, that she succeeded in planting the seed of doubt in everyone's mind.
Today, the one who was humiliated was Olivia, but someday, they might get humiliated too.
Will they be forced to forgive Rose too?
Just thinking so made the student's face ugly.
