Chapter 84: Wish

Aurora wanted to respond, to squeeze Adriana's hand, to let her know that she wasn't alone.

But her body remained still, unresponsive.

She could only listen.

As the night deepened, Adriana eventually drifted off, her exhaustion pulling her into sleep. But even in slumber, her grip on Aurora's hand didn't loosen.

Aurora, on the other hand, remained awake.

All the things that Adriana had said echoed in her mind.

'So the reason why Mother refused to change the library even when father pointed out how low they paid was because...of Alex.

But if she loves Alex so much, why didn't she bring Alex to our home? Was it truly because Alex's father was rich and mother couldn't bear to see Alex suffer so...
