Spencer chuckled, shaking his head.
"Nice try, but your prayers are unnecessary. Pay for your own stay."
Aurora sighed dramatically, clutching her chest.
"Cold. Heartless. How can you watch a poor, helpless girl struggle like this?"
Spencer gave her a pointed look. "You're neither poor nor helpless."
Aurora huffed. "Details."
Despite her complaints, Spencer helped her book a room at a high-end hotel. After checking in, Aurora finally had some time alone.
She flopped onto the bed and stared at the ceiling.
"Alright, System," she muttered. "If you're real, now's the time to show up."
Silence.
Aurora sat up. "Hello? Rebate System? Cheat skills? Anything?"
Still nothing.
Aurora groaned. "Don't tell me I transmigrated without any perks!? How unfair."
No response.
Aurora could only close her eyes and think of solutions to leave the world.
Unknowingly, she fell asleep.
