Violet, the wolf girl

"How did you manage to escape?" I asked, surprised "I took everyone in there as dead"

"They tried to take me as a trophy, but I transformed when they were not looking" She was wagging her tail while looking at me, and she had her hands on her back "Then I summoned a few wolves"

"Did that scare them?" I asked. It seemed to be a logical way to escape… "...wait, hold on"

She looked at me with one of her ears up and tilted her head, her tail stopped moving.

"Why didn't you use that before I got killed?" I asked, demanding an explanation. If she had used that maybe I could not have died!

"Ah!" She paused for a second, her eyes went wide and her mouth gaped in surprise "W-well… I don't have too much MP. Transforming takes most of my points, summoning too! Is one of the reasons I had to run from you, I ran out of options and it can take me minutes to recover them!"

"Really?" I looked her in the eyes. I barely had any reason not to believe her, but it was still suspicious.

"Y-yes! Why would I lie to you?" She starts to push her index fingers together "You are the father of my future children so I have to protect you too…"

"Don't say that kind of stuff!" I asked, my face went red at the idea.

"W-what? You don't like the idea?" She asked, worried, I could see her eyes tremble.

"L-look! I am not looking to enter a relationship right now and we don't know each other!" I tried to explain my position. I could see her almost starting to cry "Heck, I don't think you know my name, I don't even know yours!"

"But your name is Marcel, isn't it?" she answered, catching me by surprise.

"Ah! Y-yes, it is… how did you…?"

"That vulpin woman that was with you called you by that name a couple of times" she answered with a wide smile.

Probably, Dara kept explaining stuff and giving directions when we fought her. Probably she managed to hear my name during one of those moments.

"W-well, I still don't know your name," I said, trying to find a safe spot.

"Oh! Well, my name is Violet!" She has a nice smile on her face.

If I could be sincere at that point, she was cute. There was nothing wrong with that department, but as I said, I did not know her, and I did not feel like looking for a relationship., especially not with all that was happening around me.

"Well, Violet" I repeated her name, trying to put it in my memory by saying it "Please, let's change the topic. I have to deal with something right now"

"Okay…" she agreed, I could tell there was a bit of defeat in her tone of voice "Are you going to go look for your allies?"

"Y-yes, actually…" She did catch on to my objective fast "I have a clue of some children vulpin I know are on a village close to here. I need to rescue them"

"That place is full of soldiers from the north!" she looked surprised, but then she smiled "But you must be level 6 at least? Those soldiers must be easy for you!"

"I am just level 2 after reset…"

There was a weird pause after I said that. I could see her face looking surprised like she was trying to process what I just said. Then it sank in and she took a step back.

"W-what?! How are you just level 2?!" She asked, "Even with that woman you should have not been able to push me into a corner like you did!"

I would just guess I got lucky, she could have killed me if she stayed around.

"Well, I was level 3 when… huh?" I looked at her.

I could see her tremble while looking down.

"V-violet?" I asked, worried, trying to look at her face.

Then she jumped once more against me, but this time she wrapped her legs around my waist and her arms around my neck and started to rub her face against my chest.

"W-what are you doing now?!" I said trying my hardest to keep my balance. I dropped my sword and 

"If you managed to make me run at level 2 then I must make sure no one gets close to you" she explained while rubbing herself against me "I must put my scent on you! Mmmm!" she snuggled her face against my neck. "Mine!"

"Hey! Stop, I told you to stop with this!" I demanded.

"Nom!" and then bit me on the shoulder, leaving a mark.

"Aah!"

After she got down at me she seemed to be happy and proud of herself. Meanwhile, I had an injury on my shoulder caused by her fangs, which were extremely sharp and hurt like hell.

"D-don't do that again without permission!" I said I could feel my face red.

"Suuuuure!" She said, smiling and raising an arm with her hand in the form of a fist.

That sure got annoying fast. She was extremely clingy and she barely knew me. Could it be something about wolf girls that they look for strong mates? I am not that strong, mostly having survived by random chance, luck and others being around me that can fight for me.

"I am going to the village now," I said, wanting to change the topic once more. I picked up my sword and turned towards the door, starting to walk towards it.

"Alone?" she asked then shook her head "You are going to get yourself killed again"

"I need to find the children and take them out of there" I explained while I opened the door.

"Children?" I managed to hear her talk, and there was a pause. I turn around and look at her, inspecting me "Okay, I will help you"

"Huh?"

"There is no way I am leaving you alone and letting you throw yourself to die once more!" she steps up walks by me and goes outside "I am not losing you again!"

I was surprised a bit at her choice. Probably she was genuine about what she was saying, even if she didn't know anything about me. I felt bad for her, feeling I was going to disappoint her if I said yes.
