A branch of the world tree, huh? And she fused me with that?
Doesn't this mean I am fucked?
Who even fuses their child with the world tree? I should have died for certain.
Not even rarely, it is impossible to survive getting fused with the world tree... well, that should have been the case but I am still alive.
If I am thinking right, my mana sensitivity must have risen by a sky high margin and the speed of me gathering mana must have increased too.
And all this mana flowing in me right now... this strength i feel... all of this will remain forever.
"Sigh, why would you even use that on him?" Ayesha sighed, utterly disappointed with her friend.
Eleanor stayed silent, but deep inside, she was glad to see such reaction from her.
"Well, it's good that nothing has happened to him. It is even above than a miracle that he survived that." Saying that, she gently pulled me out from the tub and wrapped me with a soft towel.
Eleanor reached out her hands towards me, but received a smack in her hand from Ayesha with a angry glare.
"Don't touch him."
She meekly pulled her hands back with a long face.
'But he is my son.'
But Ayesha didn't care about that at all. Holding me in her embrace, she looked at me tenderly with her emerald like eyes.
There was another emotion in them, perhaps it was jealousy. Holding the child of her love, that wasn't hers... she must be having conflicted emotions.
Then after a few moments, she spoke softly, still looking at me,
"No one in the outside world knows about you having a child. So let's keep it that way for now."
She then turned at Eleanor and continued,
"The war with other races is still ongoing. There are not many transcended people on our side. Mother and others might have fallen long ago if not for the help from spirits. I thought once you recover, we will be able to gain an upper hand in the war, but seems even that hope is no more."
There was an uneasy feeling lingering on her. I do not know what war they are talking about, but I have a hunch that it must be related with the path being opened.
"I understand your emotions, Ayesha. But I am no longer able to fight, my mana core has been corroded and even if I were to use that branch from world tree, I wouldn't have recovered."
She went near Ayesha and placed her hands on Ayesha's shoulder.
"The only way for me to recover is changing my core, but..."
"But no matter what, that is impossible, right?"
Listening to Ayesha, Eleanor nodded her head.
"I went to so many ruins, trying to see if I could find a replacement for your core, but nothing. Even finding a supreme core is near impossible, but you were born with a mythical core."
Both of them turned silent.
Mana core is something that you awaken at the age of 10 and only after that you begin your journey of becoming a mage or a Knight.
The mana core that you can awaken ranges from Bronze core, Silver core, Gold core. These are normally what most of the people have. Even having a Gold core is a great deal.
But the quality of the core doesn't end there, after the Gold comes Legendary core. Only a selected few people are born with it. Some rich people can even increase the quality of the core from the blessings of the saints and saintessess.
One of the reason why Ayesha is loaded as fuck. She might have more wealth than many kingdoms and even that without including her wealth as the Elven princess.
And after the Legendary core comes Supreme core. The people with this core can be counted on hands because, only the higher beings such as Elven queen and princess, and high ranking dragons have it.
Supreme core is mostly hereditary. There is a very low chance for Legendary core to evolve into a Supreme one from blessings, but that chance is close to null.
There was no human who was born with a Supreme core until the arrival of hero. Even I had thought that she might have a Supreme core but now...
She had a Mythical core. I never knew about that. If her core was considered Mythical, then what about mine?
I don't think it is a mythical core. So that means there is a higher rank for mana cores.
"Ayesha, do you think if that demon king was still alive, we would have put a great fight against the beasts and demons? We did call him a demon, but he was still a human, right? So maybe he would have helped us?"
After a long silent, Eleanor asked.
"That only remains as a maybe. Maybe he would have or maybe he wouldn't. He isn't here anymore so the what if doesn't exist either. But fighting against them for two whole years, I can tell this much, they do not have a monster like that demon king. If he was here, then probably that battle field would have been a haven for him."
And suddenly her attention shifted at me.
Pretend bitch, pretend like a child now.
I said to myself.
"But now, we will create an even terrifying monster than him. We will make you so strong that even if that demon king were to get reincarnated again, you will be able to kill him easily."
So they gonna train me to kill myself?
This seems fun.
After Ayesha, Eleanor also added,
"He will train him to become the next demon king. With us training him, there will be no one he couldn't defeat."
Saying that they both looked at each other. Reaching the same conclusion, they smiled and nodded their head.
Good, good. Then train me, I was a mage before, there is no one worthy enough to train me in magic, but there were still things that I lacked in physical strength. Training under hero and the saintess, I will become unreachable.
After having enough strength. I will reveal to them that they weren't training for a new demon king instead they were training the old one.
Eh? Why do I feel pain on my stomach?
Heh? Oi oi oi... don't tell me.
Something came out from my body.
Better not talk about it anymore.
