"This is more intense than I thought it would be," Cass mutters, rubbing her temples as she stares at the chaotic mess of fabric swatches, invitation designs, and seating charts spread across the table.
I smile, folding my arms. "No matter how intense it is, you deserve to have a perfect mating ceremony."
She exhales loudly, tilting her head back as if pleading to the heavens. "I know, but goddess, Lilah, the details! The color scheme, the flower arrangements, the guest list—do you know how hard it is to keep my parents from inviting the entire Pack? And don't get me started on the dress fittings."
I chuckle. "I think it'll all be worth it when you're walking down that aisle."
She groans dramatically, then turns to me, her eyes narrowing with suspicion. "You're enjoying my suffering, aren't you?"
"A little." I grin. "But mostly, I just love seeing you stress over something other than Eden."
