Duke Valois sat at the King's desk, staring at the pile of papers in front of him, shaking his head.

These papers needed the King's direct signature, but they had been neglected for over a month.

Some of them were requests for royal aid for people affected by natural disasters.

"Unbelievable," he muttered, leaning back in his chair.

He needed to ascend the throne quickly and take control of everything himself.

The sound of a knock on the window from outside was heard.

Duke Valois turned towards the window and saw Atherion standing outside, waiting for the Duke to open it.

Annoyed, the Duke walked over to the window and opened it.

"Why do you prefer using the window instead of the door?" he grumbled as he walked back to his desk.

Atherion entered without paying attention to the Duke's grumbling and immediately sat down at the side of the desk.
