The King rushed toward Kali and caught her just before she hit the ground.
Kali immediately clung to his neck, breathing against his ear.
He steadied himself and asked gently, "Are you alright?"
"I'm alright, Your Majesty. Thank you," Kali whispered softly into his neck, making him felt arroused.
He swallowed hard and tried to pull away from Kali's embrace gently, but Kali continued to cling to him, her body trembling slightly.
The King then glanced toward the open door, where the guards, alerted by the commotion, were looking in with concern.
"It's fine," he said to the knights. "She just slipped."
The knights nodded and bowed to him before returning to their posts.
Turning his attention back to Kali, he asked, "Are you hurt? You're shaking."
Kali lifted her face from his neck, her teary eyes meeting his.
"What's wrong?" he asked with a hint of panic in his voice.
