Recollection Blanking

"There isn't anything," Crowley exclaimed in frustration once again slamming a book shut. He and Xinyi had ventured back to the library, the place where Xinyi had first met him. The lights were now a glow and she could now see the colorful inscriptions and scrolls thrown about in the air. This place reminded her of her home, well her master's home.

"Not only the world map but the name of your home isn't written in any history." the elegant man sighs before looking at Xinyi again, her face just as confused as his. "Are you truly from where you say? You aren't lying to me by chance?" she looked at him and shook her head. The girl knew where she had come from and that that place did not bear magic. She was just as confused as he was. "Looking at all this, you may have somehow been brought here from another planet… There's also the possibility that you're from another world."

Xinyi looked at him with a raised eyebrow, not sure how to take this new information. "A-another World?" she mumbled, not sure what to say.

"What did you have on you when you came here?" Crowley asks ignoring her question and looking down at her. "Do you have any identification, like a license for a magic car, name on a shoe… You appear to be empty-handed."

She frowns when she realizes this. "N-now that you mention it. I-I don't have m-my wallet or phone." This was not something she had thought about but it did make sense. She was not in the clothes she had come in so why would she bear any valuables?

"This is concerning." the headmaster stated, rubbing his forehead in thought. "I can't just let someone who can't use magic stay at school. However, as an educator. I can't just toss a penniless teenager out on the street with no form of communication. For I am gracious."

He closes his eyes in thought trying to figure out what to do with the young girl. "Hmm...that's right!" Crowley opened his eyes, his voice filled with new excitement. "There is an unused building on campus," he explained, placing his hands on her shoulders. "It was once a dormitory in the past so if you can clean it up, you should at least be able to sleep there. For the time being, I shall allow you to stay there! Then I will look for a way for you to return home. My graciousness is limitless! I am a model for all educators."

The girl giggled a bit, smiling at the educator. He smiled back at her, happy that she was no longer shaking. He extended his hand to her so she might take it. "We better be on our way. Let's head to the dormitory. It may be old but there is a certain charm to it." with that they left the library with high hopes.

Home should be an anchor, a port in a storm, a refuge, a happy place in which to dwell, a place where we are loved and where we can love.
