asteroid impact

Shikama Doji stared at the glowing screens with sparkling, excited eyes. His breaths were rapid, and his heart pounded fiercely. He had been waiting for this moment for years. Using his advanced astrology and magic, he had predicted that today, a massive asteroid would collide with Earth. This was the day he had long planned for. The day everything would change.

It had been over a century since he last tested his new magic. During those years, Shikama Doji had tirelessly worked on perfecting the Control Curse. It was now more complete and powerful than ever before. He had added new features to it, including a curse that would be passed down from parents to children. Even for those with the ability of clairvoyance, it was difficult to detect this magical bond. Shikama Doji had made remarkable progress in astrological magic. He had even succeeded in creating runes that significantly reduced the casting time of large-scale spells, making them simpler and faster to execute.

Suddenly, the screens began to tremble. The asteroid pierced through Earth's atmosphere and collided with the surface with unimaginable force. The tower where Shikama Doji stood shook violently. The images on the screens flickered, and the entire planet quaked under the devastating impact of the asteroid. The energy released from the collision was equivalent to billions of times the power of the Hiroshima atomic bomb. Earthquakes measuring over 11 on the Richter scale swept across the globe, and tsunamis over 1.5 kilometers high formed. These colossal waves spread across the oceans at incredible speeds, engulfing coastlines.

Shikama Doji watched the scene with wide eyes and a satisfied smile. He knew this impact would annihilate nearly all of Earth's ecosystems. Even if any creatures survived, the massive tsunamis would wipe them out forever. He whispered softly, "I thought the collision would cause such immense damage, but hearing about it is different from seeing it."

He thought about how Tiamat, the mother of all creatures, would grieve over this catastrophe. Almost all of her children had been destroyed in the collision. Gaia's power had been severely weakened, perhaps even plunged into a deep slumber. Shikama Doji looked far into the future. After a ten-year ice age, he and Tiamat would begin creating new creatures and rebuilding Earth's ecosystems from scratch. But what did this have to do with his plan?

He said quietly to himself, "When the time comes, I will create humans. Across the planet, with the Control Curse, I will have a powerful weapon against Alaya. With this weapon, I can negotiate with Alaya or, if necessary, destroy her. Moreover, I will gain the concept of the Creator. There is someone I know who definitely desires this concept. Perhaps this concept won't be useful to me, but they will surely want it. There's no need to rush. I will gradually reach the pinnacle."

When I decide to create humans across this planet, can the gods of other pantheons on different continents stop me? The answer is clear: No. The Greek and Norse gods are, in reality, nothing more than massive machines and giant robots that descended from the starry skies to Earth. They became flesh-and-blood entities through the faith and beliefs of humans in gods. Even other gods, with the exception of Sumerian and Christian mythologies, were born from human fear and reverence for the forces of nature. The rest are nothing more than tendrils or extensions of Gaia. These beings are so insignificant that they don't even deserve my attention. In this vast world, only a handful of beings are worthy of my focus and concentration. They are the ones who ultimately matter and play key roles in this game.

Shikama Doji clenched his fist, and his eyes reflected a spark of power and determination. He sighed softly and said, "Ah, now I must go and comfort Tiamat. Curse you, asteroid."

He slowly rose from his seat and walked toward the window. The scene of devastation spread out before his eyes filled him with exhilaration. This was the dawn of a new era, an era in which he would reach the pinnacle of his power and reshape the world. Shikama Doji knew he had a long road ahead, but he was ready to face any challenge.
