Chapter 131 - Bleach Finale!
In future Aizen's plan, he intended to reveal his true self before Yamamoto and issue a declaration to the Soul Society.
Although some parts of his plan had gone awry, Aizen had managed to secure the Hōgyoku.
Without hesitation, future Aizen summoned the Garganta, the pathway used by Hollows.
Sensing something amiss, past Aizen glanced up at the sky.
A massive hand suddenly tore open the sky, revealing a vast, dark void known as the Garganta.
What followed was a terrifying scene.
From the rift in the sky, countless Gillian class Menos Grande surged forth, and three golden beams descended from the Garganta, enveloping future Aizen, Tōsen, and Gin.
Past Aizen recognized the beams as the Negación, a technique used by Menos to rescue their comrades.
Within these beams, the interior and exterior were completely isolated, creating a separate world. Once trapped inside, no one from the outside could touch the targets.
Even past Aizen could not break through the Negación because doing so would require breaking through the fabric of reality itself.
Meanwhile, the worn-out future Gin and Tōsen breathed sighs of relief under the protection of the Negación.
Future Gin had been battling Isshin, who was overwhelmingly powerful. The difference in strength left Gin completely outmatched.
Future Tōsen, while stronger in terms of spiritual pressure compared to Masaki, found Masaki's Zanpakutō ability utterly frustrating. To Tōsen, it seemed designed specifically to counter Shinigami.
Even though Tōsen had unleashed his Bankai, trapping Masaki in a world of sensory deprivation, where her spiritual pressure, sight, hearing, and smell were completely negated, Masaki's Bankai, Holy Quincy's Arrow, managed to absorb the spiritual pressure used to form Tōsen's Bankai, turning it into arrows to strike him back.
This left Tōsen feeling utterly powerless.
He quickly realized that fighting Masaki without using any spiritual pressure was futile, but how could a Shinigami fight without their Reiatsu?
As the golden barrier of the Negación blocked Masaki's next attack, she frowned and prepared another spiritual arrow.
Seeing this, future Tōsen sneered, "It's useless. You cannot touch me while I'm inside the Negación."
Masaki, still new to being a Substitute Shinigami, didn't fully understand the implications of the Negación.
Just as she was about to fire her arrow, Isshin appeared by her side, placing a gentle hand on hers. "It's pointless. The Negación separates us into two worlds. Unless your attack can break through worlds, you won't reach him."
Frustrated but understanding, Masaki lowered her weapon.
Meanwhile, the captains of the Soul Society shifted their attention to the Negación.
As captains, they understood what the Negación signified and what it meant to be trapped within it.
None of them could have anticipated that Aizen, Gin, and Tōsen from the future would betray the Soul Society.
Most importantly, wasn't Aizen supposed to be dead?
As they pieced things together, their expressions darkened. They now realize that future Aizens orchestrated the chaos in the Soul Society.
Without delay, the captains hurried toward Sōkyoku Hill.
The defection of three captain-level Shinigami was an unprecedented event, something almost unheard of in the history of the Soul Society.
Their first priority was to regroup with Yamamoto and follow his orders.
As Hitsugaya and Rangiku hurried toward the hill, they spotted past Aizen, and their eyes widened in disbelief. They also saw the other Aizen trapped within the Negación, and shock spread across their faces.
Before Hitsugaya could react, Rangiku gasped, "Captain Shiba!?"
Hitsugaya followed her gaze and was stunned to see Isshin. "Captain Shiba!?"
Isshin, the former captain of the 10th Division, had once led both Rangiku and Hitsugaya, who had served as lieutenant and third seat, respectively.
Isshin smiled warmly and waved at the two.
In Isshin's timeline, Hitsugaya hadn't yet entered the Shinigami Academy, but just like Masaki, a parallel world's Hitsugaya had crossed into Isshin's world. This Hitsugaya, now on Vimana as an explainer, had already become well-acquainted with Isshin.
Worth noting, the Hitsugaya aboard Vimana hailed from the Thousand-Year Blood War timeline and had mastered his complete Bankai.
Hitsugaya blinked rapidly, unable to believe his eyes. But the truth was undeniable. Yet, there was no joy in the reunion—he only glared sharply at past Aizen. "Aizen, what are you up to this time?"
Rangiku, having come to her senses, also eyed past Aizen warily.
This entire crisis in the Soul Society had begun with Aizen's "death."
Back then, Rangiku and Hitsugaya had personally handled Aizen's "corpse" and confirmed it was real.
But now that Aizen was alive again, they suspected he had some trick that could deceive their senses.
And given this, they believed Isshin's presence could also be one of Aizen's deceptions.
Past Aizen remained silent.
Isshin, however, shunpoed between Hitsugaya and Rangiku, playfully resting his hands on their heads. "What? You don't recognize your old captain?"
Hitsugaya and Rangiku froze.
The familiar voice, the touch on their heads, and the unmistakable warmth of his Reiatsu—it all told them that this Isshin was real. But how could this be?
Back in Vimana, future Yamamoto had finished grappling with the collapse and rebuilding of his worldview. Now, he barely managed to accept the truth.
Just as he was about to ask more questions, he saw the Negación descending from the black void and noticed future Aizen, Gin, and Tōsen within it.
Though future Yamamoto now understood the root cause of the rebellion, seeing it with his own eyes still ignited a burning rage within him.
His fury instantly transformed into an overwhelming spiritual pressure that filled the entire sky.
Despite future Yamamoto's rage, there was little he could do to affect the future Aizen trio, as even he could not break the Negación.
Future Aizen, sensing Yamamoto's immense Reiatsu, looked over.
What he saw next, however, left him stunned.
Hovering above him was Vimana, the royal throne in the sky, and sitting upon it was Gilgamesh, flanked by both past and future Yamamoto, as well as other captains. Aizen's shock deepened.
Through past Aizen, Isshin, and Masaki, Aizen had learned that these individuals came from the past.
So the sight of two Yamamotos wasn't entirely surprising.
But the fact that both Yamamotos seemed to serve under Gilgamesh—that was staggering.
Aizen's mind raced as he searched his memories, but he found no trace of this Gilgamesh.
Who was he?
Why was Yamamoto serving him?
Was he the one who brought these people from the past to the present?
The questions swirling in Aizen's mind left him momentarily dazed.
It was then that future Yamamoto couldn't help but ask, "Aizen, why are you doing this?"
Though he already knew the outcome, future Yamamoto could not comprehend the motivation behind Aizen's betrayal.
Future Aizen, regaining his composure, replied with his usual cold demeanor, "To reach a higher plane of existence."
As he spoke, Aizen ran a hand through his hair, continuing, "No one is born standing at the top—not you, not me, not even the gods."
"But this empty throne in the heavens won't remain vacant much longer."
"Soon, I will sit upon it!"
Future Yamamoto's face darkened, ready to respond, but before he could, a calm yet commanding voice filled with regal authority cut through the air.
"As a mere insect, you dare lay claim to my throne?"
Future Yamamoto turned toward the voice and saw Gilgamesh rise from his throne, radiating a potent aura of kingship. A golden ripple appeared beside him.
Future Aizen also shifted his gaze to Gilgamesh but showed no anger. In fact, his expression remained completely unmoved, as if he didn't even deem Gilgamesh's words worthy of a response.
Tōsen and Gin recognized this as Aizen's way of silently dismissing his opponent.
However, Gilgamesh, having illuminated all his thoughts with his Omniscient Star, knew exactly what Aizen was thinking.
Without further conversation, Gilgamesh reached into the golden ripple, pulling out the Key of King. He pointed it toward the void, turning it slowly.
In the next moment, the Key of King transformed into a brilliant orb of red and gold light.
That orb shattered, revealing the legendary Ea, the Sword of Rupture, in Gilgamesh's hand.
The golden ripple persisted and out from it emerged a series of mystic gems circling around Gilgamesh.
Without hesitation, Gilgamesh raised Ea high, and his voice rang out in an exalted chant.
"Behold the beginning! As Heaven and Earth split apart, let the ruptured world bear witness to my might—Ea!"
The mystic gems shone brightly, releasing an immense amount of energy that flowed into the Sword of Rupture.
The three interlocking disks that comprised Ea began rotating, unleashing a spiraling force representing the separation of Heaven, Earth, and the Underworld.
The sheer magnitude of its power evoked the primal forces of creation itself.
All that energy converged at the tip of Ea's blade, forming a radiant sphere of red and gold energy.
As the pressure mounted, Gilgamesh continued his chant, his voice reverberating through the Seireitei like the voice of a god.
"Turn the wheel of the stars! The Hell of Heaven shall be the endpoint of creation's eve, and I shall bring all to bow before death!"
At the apex of its power, Ea's energy coalesced into a single point, shining brighter than ever before.
"Enuma Elish!!"
With the final declaration, Gilgamesh swung Ea downward toward the Negación enveloping future Aizen.
A column of red and gold energy shot forth, embodying the force of both beginning and end.
Before the stunned eyes of all present, the seemingly impenetrable Negación shattered like glass under Ea's might.
Future Aizen's face finally showed fear. As he felt the crushing weight of imminent death, he murmured, "Impossible… this… how can…?"
"I…"
Before he could finish, his body was consumed by the overwhelming force of Ea.
With a deafening explosion, future Aizen, along with the countless Gillian in the Garganta, were obliterated and reduced to nothingness.
For a brief moment, all of Seireitei fell into a stunned silence.
