Chapter 134 - Gilgamesh in the Marvel Universe!?

Chapter 134 - Gilgamesh in the Marvel Universe!?

As the Sorcerer Supreme, the Ancient One had naturally honed her powers over the will, mind, and soul.

It was clear to her now that Gilgamesh was an absolute force when it came to spiritual and soul-based powers.

The very spiritual pressure Gilgamesh was currently unleashing was enough to make even her, a master of the mystical arts, feel as though she was stuck in quicksand. If not for her swift use of soul-defense magic, her very soul might have been gravely injured under the crushing weight of Gilgamesh's spiritual dominance.

The Ancient One now understood why her soul magic had no effect on him.

In front of Gilgamesh, using soul magic was like "showing off a blade in front of Guan Yu"—a futile and humiliating effort.

What the Ancient One didn't realize, however, was that the true reason her magic had no effect was because Gilgamesh was currently in a spiritual form—he had no physical body. His form was a manifestation of the Third Magic from the Nasuverse, where the soul materialized, making him appear as a normal human.

As the Ancient One watched intently, Gilgamesh's incantation continued, and she observed the transformation of his Zanpakutō, Kennō.

The once long blade morphed into a scepter, fully made of gold, engraved with ancient runes, and topped with a royal jewel that shone with prismatic brilliance.

The moment the Ancient One laid eyes on the scepter, her sixth sense warned her. It was as if this scepter contained unfathomable, terrifying power. The words "divine artifact" echoed in her mind.

Through Sha Nagba Imuru, Gilgamesh sensed the Ancient One's thoughts and smiled. "This is Kennō. It gathers the power of all Zanpakutō. Calling it a divine artifact would not be an exaggeration."

Kennō? Zanpakutō?

The Ancient One's mind raced. She was certain she had never heard of these names before, but that didn't stop her from attempting to deduce their origins.

Gilgamesh's voice echoed again: "Shatter, Kyōka Suigetsu."

With those words, the form of the scepter transformed again, this time into the appearance of Kyōka Suigetsu, the Zanpakutō of illusion and hypnosis.

The Shikai of Kyōka Suigetsu was now complete.

Unfamiliar with the abilities of a Zanpakutō, the Ancient One remained vigilant, watching the transformation closely, prepared for any unforeseen developments.

After releasing Kyōka Suigetsu, Gilgamesh moved to strike the Ancient One with it.

Faced with a sword of unknown capabilities, the Ancient One wisely avoided a direct clash and quickly retreated, putting distance between herself and Gilgamesh.

Slash!

As the Ancient One moved, she suddenly felt a sharp pain across her back, as if a blade had sliced through her flesh.

Her eyes widened in disbelief as she turned to see that Gilgamesh, who should have been distant, was now somehow behind her.

"How... how is this possible?"

Confusion filled her thoughts, but Gilgamesh gave her no time to contemplate. He swung Kyōka Suigetsu again.

This time, the Ancient One didn't retreat. Instead, she raised the Holy Sword of Vishanti to meet his strike.

Slash!

Once again, the searing pain of a blade cutting into her back radiated through her body.

The Ancient One didn't look back this time. Instead, she released a surge of magical energy, unleashing a shockwave in all directions.

The force of her magical shockwave was immense, toppling trees, collapsing buildings, and even shaking the very ground beneath her.

At the same time, she waved her hand, creating a golden portal with sparks flying—a sling ring portal, one of the fundamental magics of Kamar-Taj.

Without hesitation, the Ancient One stepped through the portal, vanishing from sight, and reappearing in another corner of the Mirror Dimension.

Her expression was full of uncertainty as she recalled the events that had just transpired, using the Eye of Agamotto to instantly heal her injuries.

As a god-tier entity, the Ancient One's battle experience was vast. Though it had only happened twice, she quickly deduced that Kyōka Suigetsu's ability involved illusions, capable of affecting her senses.

However, she was unsure of when she had fallen under its spell.

Still, now wasn't the time to dwell on that.

Gilgamesh, wielding Kyōka Suigetsu, was already closing in with astonishing speed using Shunpo, or flash step, moving through the air effortlessly.

The Ancient One narrowed her eyes, her hands moving into a mystic stance as she chanted: "Ikonn's Form."

In an instant, multiple ethereal arms sprouted from her back, making her resemble a multi-armed deity from ancient myth.

Simultaneously, several duplicates of the Ancient One shot out from her form, created by the magic of Ikonn's Form.

The power of this spell was that, as long as there was enough magic, it could summon countless doppelgängers. Each duplicate possessed the same power as the original and could cast the same spells.

Some duplicates conjured the Holy Sword of Vishanti to engage Gilgamesh head-on. Others unleashed the Rings of Raggadorr to bind and support, while those at a distance launched energy whips to ensnare him.

Still, others were preparing their ultimate attacks to deliver a fatal blow.

Through Sha Nagba Imuru, Gilgamesh quickly discerned that these duplicates were unaffected by Kyōka Suigetsu's illusionary powers.

He hadn't expected the Ancient One to break through the abilities of Kyōka Suigetsu so effortlessly with just a spell.

This realization brought a smile to Gilgamesh's face.

It had been a long time since he'd encountered a battle that thrilled him.

Surrounded by dozens of the Ancient One's duplicates, Gilgamesh felt his dormant blood stir, his battle-hardened spirit reigniting.

As the Ancient One's doppelgängers swarmed him, Gilgamesh reverted Kennō back into its scepter form and began chanting: "Hado 99: Goryūtenmetsu!"

Hado 99: Goryūtenmetsu was one of the strongest destructive spells in the Bleach universe.

With Gilgamesh's immense spiritual pressure of over 100 million, even a version of the spell without incantation surpassed the power of Aizen's fully chanted version of the same spell.

As soon as Gilgamesh finished his chant, five colossal eastern dragons of purple spiritual energy materialized. They roared with fury, their primal rage directed at everything around them, intent on annihilation.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Wherever the spiritual dragons passed, everything was obliterated.

Trees, buildings, the very ground itself.

Even the Mirror Dimension began to tremble under the power of the five dragons, as if it could no longer contain their destructive might and was on the verge of collapsing.

In the eyes of the countless duplicates of the Ancient One, it seemed as though the heavens and earth were shaking in response to this overwhelming power.

They felt an immense relief that this spell had been cast in the Mirror Dimension.

Had it been in the real world, the devastation would have been unimaginable.

At the same time, the Ancient One pondered the technique and power Gilgamesh had just unleashed.

There was no doubt in her mind that what Gilgamesh had used was another form of soul power.

But the spell Goryūtenmetsu was entirely new to her. She had neither seen nor heard of such an ability before.

One thing was certain: this power didn't come from magic, nor from borrowing the power of a deity. It was Gilgamesh's own.

As the terrifying energy of Hado 99 swept across the battlefield, many of the Ancient One's doppelgängers, unable to retreat in time, were instantly obliterated.

The remaining duplicates soon followed, vanishing one by one.

Gilgamesh understood this as a signal from the Ancient One that she wished to end the battle.

Despite the feeling of unfinished business, Gilgamesh complied and sheathed Kennō.

He knew that the Ancient One wasn't conceding defeat.

Thus far, she hadn't even unleashed her full strength.

Of course, neither had he.

The reason the Ancient One called for a halt was that the Mirror Dimension was beginning to collapse under the strain of their battle.

Had they continued fighting, the dimension would have shattered completely, and the fight would have spilled into the real world, causing incalculable damage.

This was something the Ancient One wanted to avoid.

Seeing that Gilgamesh had relented, the Ancient One let out a subtle sigh of relief.

She had already prepared for the worst. If things escalated, she had considered leading Gilgamesh into Dormammu's dimension, even though that would mean facing two immensely powerful enemies.

After everything had settled, the Ancient One waved her hand, restoring the Mirror Dimension to its original state.

She then approached Gilgames

h and asked, "Now, will you tell me your purpose for coming to this world?"

Gilgamesh smiled and replied, "To acquire greater power."

The Ancient One's brow furrowed. She hadn't expected such an answer, which made her feel uneasy.

At her level of strength, she fully understood the allure of "greater power" for beings of their caliber.

If this world held the key to even more power for Gilgamesh, convincing him to leave would be an incredibly difficult task.

At least not until Gilgamesh had achieved his goal.

What she didn't know was what Gilgamesh sought—and whether it would pose a danger to Earth.

Through Sha Nagba Imuru, Gilgamesh read her concerns and said, "Don't worry. I have no intention of harming Earth."

The Ancient One was taken aback.

She was surprised not only by how easily Gilgamesh seemed to read her thoughts but also by his words.

Gilgamesh continued, "My name is Gilgamesh. You've likely heard of me."

"Gilgamesh?!"

The Ancient One's face showed shock.

Of course, she knew of Gilgamesh.

In this world, there existed a Gilgamesh, and he was still alive.

The Gilgamesh of this world was an Eternal known as the Forgotten One, who had fought to protect humanity for thousands of years under various names, one of which was recorded in the Epic of Gilgamesh.

At different points in history, he had also been known as Hercules, Samson, and others.

However, due to his excessive interference in human affairs, the Forgotten One had been confined for a long time.

Through the Eye of Agamotto, the Ancient One had foreseen that the Forgotten One would soon be freed from his confinement and, following the orders of the Eternals, would join the Avengers, using the name Gilgamesh.

In her vision, the Forgotten One appeared as a giant warrior—completely different from the beautiful, noble-looking Gilgamesh standing before her now.

Furthermore, the powers of the Forgotten One bore no resemblance to those Gilgamesh had displayed.

The notion of a multiverse and parallel worlds suddenly flashed through the Ancient One's mind.

Gilgamesh knew that in the Marvel Universe, there existed another Gilgamesh, who was considered the strongest member of the Eternals.

As for the Eternals...

Eventually, the Ancient One dispelled the Mirror Dimension and returned to Kamar-Taj.

Meanwhile, Gilgamesh returned to Hell's Kitchen.

The bodies of the thugs he had killed were now gone.

Gilgamesh wasn't surprised.

In Hell's Kitchen, fresh corpses were considered valuable resources, especially those with intact organs.

Now dressed in casual modern attire, Gilgamesh no longer stood out as much in the crowd.

He didn't leave immediately, instead opening the King System to review its offerings.

The World Task still urged him to become the king of this world.

However, Gilgamesh's focus was on the characters and items available for exchange in the Marvel Universe.

[Young Odin (King of Asgard)]

[Young Dwarf King (King of Dwarves)]

[Young Black Bolt (King of the Inhumans)]

[Young Namor (King of Atlantis)]

[Young Black Panther (King of Wakanda)]

[Young Doctor Doom (King of Latveria)]

[Time Stone]

[Space Stone]

[Mind Stone]

While browsing the system, Gilgamesh sensed someone approaching.

Looking up, he saw a group of thugs with ill intent heading his way.

Gilgamesh sighed. "Why can't people just enjoy being alive?"

Without further warning, his terrifying spiritual pressure exploded.

The thugs didn't even realize what was happening before their souls were crushed, killing them instantly.

Unfazed, Gilgamesh calmly began walking toward his next destination.

Just before leaving, he cast a glance toward a certain rooftop.

That one glance sent a shiver down the spine of the Daredevil, who had been hiding atop the building.

"Terrifying... too terrifying!" Daredevil thought to himself.

After Gilgamesh had left, Daredevil collapsed to the ground, murmuring, "From the sound of his footsteps, it seems like he's heading toward Kingpin's territory. Could it be just a coincidence?"
