Chapter 2: The orphanage of Drachenheim

The town of Drachenheim lay silent under the weight of a bitter winter. The cobblestone streets, usually filled with the sounds of merchants and travelers, were now empty. Only the howling wind remained, whispering through the narrow alleys and rattling the wooden shutters of the orphanage.

It was the 24th of June, 1840, a night that would forever be remembered—not by the townsfolk, but by the one who found them.

Sister Helene had just finished tending to the younger children when she heard it.

She have light brown hair, blue eyes and was wearing A white, high-necked habit collar contrasts with the robe, framing the face in a soft, gentle manner.Over the robe, a plain yet neat white wimple covers the hair, its edges tucked beneath a simple black veil that falls to the shoulders, symbolizing purity and commitment. The veil is light and soft, allowing the sister to move freely but still maintain a serene presence. A leather belt, modest in design, cinches the waist, securing the robe and providing practical use for carrying small tools or keys. As she wash the plates.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door

Not loud, not hurried, but firm.

Her breath hitched.

"Who will visite the orphanage at this hour." She thought

Pulling her shawl tighter around her shoulders, she hesitated before making her way down the dimly lit hallway. Each step creaked against the old wooden floors as she reached the front door.

The wind howled as she unlatched it.

And then—

She froze as she saw twelve basket infront of the door inside them their were twelve who look like recently born children .

"Who will abandon this infants at this cold winter."she said.

As she walk towards the basket to check weather the infants were fine saw them sleeping then she smile and said.

"Don't worry my childrens from today onwards I will take care of you all."

Then she call two of her co-worker name Amelia who has black hair and brown eyes and Irene have honey blonde hair and violet eyes both them wearing the same dress as Sister Helene and both were infact as kind as Sister Helene.

Then each of them took the infants inside the orphanage and closed the door . Then we see a little girl with blonde hair and blue eyes wearing a white cloak who was watching them from a far as she saw the three caretakers taking the infants who she reincarnated here in this world then she starts to turn into particles but before she dissappear she look at the orphanage for the last time and said with a emotionless voice.

"Now, my chess pieces are completed, forged to outwit the other deities and their chosen ones. The game have begin now, and only the strongest's shall stand unbroken."

Then she dissappear into the tin air

After that three weeks have passed

Since that night when Sister Helene have found the infants at the orphanage door she have also found two letter's which she show to Father Alfred a man with blonde hair and grey eyes who open one of them and inside it was the name of the childrens the first one was Akrūra, then second one was Shigure, third one was Yuuka , fourth was Tsukiko, fifth was karna, sixth was Noah, seventh was Anneliese, eight one was Mirai, the nine was Estelle, tenth was Marie, eleven one was Beatrice and twelve one was Luciana.

Inside the office their were also the two caretakers the Amelia and Irene who were with Sister Helene at that night . Then Father Alfred open the second letter and it was written that.

"To the esteemed caretakers of the Orphanage of Drachenheim,

I, a benefactor of the childrens, hereby pledge to send a sum of money and gold to your establishment each week, in every month, and for every year to come. Let this donation serve as a token of my support for the children in your care. Please accept this offering, and may it aid in providing a brighter future for those under your protection.

Sincerely,

Unknown."

Then Father Alfred kept the letter down and look towards outside his window and said.

"For now let's kept it a secret between us four."

As he said that all three of them replied.

"Yes , Father Alfred."

"Now, you three can leave the office."

As he said that all three of them left the room and went back to their work . After they closed the door Father Alfred look towards the sky and said.

"So, the game have already began."

After that we focused on the orphanage Nursery room were the infants were kept inside a crib then we see Sister Helene entering the Nursery room to check on the infants while other childrens were playing outside the orphanage. The room was quiet too quiet infact then she saw the infants who were awake but were making no noise. Then at that very moment one of the infants name Beatrice starts to cry then Sister Helene move towards Beatrice and pick her up to make her stop crying and she saw that Beatrice had wet her bed then Sister Helene smile and said.

"A beautiful and cute girl like yourself shouldn't cry."

After what Sister Helene said Beatrice stops crying and look at her then she place Beatrice on a high chair and starts to change the bed sheet of Beatrice at that moment she could feel that the childrens were looking at her.

After she completed changing the bed sheet she went towards Beatrice and pick her up and put her inside the crib then the bell of the orphanage ring then Sister Helene saw Sister Amelia coming down stairs and open the door infront of Sister Amelia was a woman who was wearing an all black dress and a vail that cover her face after that Sister Amelia ask the mysteries women a question.

"Miss ,who are you."

The mysteries women said nothing then at the next moment the women took out a knife to stap Sister Amelia but before the mysteries women could hurt Sister Amelia and other people in the orphanage out of nowhere Father Alfred came and slash the mysteries women right hand that was holding the knife with a sword then purple color blood came out of the women right hand as she starts to scream.

After that Sister Amelia scream and said.

"I-Its a Demon!!"

"Amelia take the childrens inside the orphanage and closed the door and lock all the windows now ."

Father Alfred command.

"Y-Yes father."

As Sister Amelia replied she call the the childrens and tell them to come inside after all the childrens were inside Father Alfred ask the demon.

"What is your purpose here demon"

"Kekekeke...I came here to greet the newborn."

She laughed with a scary smile while holding her right hand as she tried to runaway by using teleportation magic but before she could escape Father Alfred suddenly appear infront of her and cut her in half the demoness was in shocked then she ask Father Alfred.

"H-How c-can u move so fast."

Then Father Alfred replied.

"I wasn't too fast you were to slow."

As he said he give a finale blow to the demon women by stabing his sword on her heart

who was cut in half and turn into a black dust after that out of nowhere a spear was thrown towards Father Alfred who dodge it after that a Demon appear who have two horns white hair and red eyes who smirk and said.

"Well well old friend its been a long time since we met each other how about we sit and have a little chat ."

The demon said as he summmon more spear.

"I wish I could say the same for you to old friend but it seems that you are here for something else. "
