A day out

I woke up today very refreshed and went out to have breakfast but the meal reserved for the servants were not very enticing in presentation or taste.

No wonder they easily switch sides, they are the true definition of cannon fodder.

I asked the miss for a bite shamelessly then slipped away to watch the knights train, the visuals were amazing with abs no 1 , 2 and 3 being very showy.

I was dragged back when it was time for the lady to go outside to buy the shop while I was excited to watch a scene and finally see one of the male leads or the male lead.

But I have a feeling that this would be the standard Duke of the north but the summary of the plot did say second male lead,

and those are more tuned to wizards and the northern dukes usually aren't that involved in the storyline so fingers crossed for the rugged head of the mercenary guild or the handsome head of the wizard tower.

Su Wan took a leisurely stroll outside after convincing her father that she was not going to stalk the prince.

In honesty, she was offended to even be mentioned in the same sentence with that scum but she endured it and tried to explain to her father that she is no longer the girl who almost blew up the palace to flush that scum out.

He was reasonably doubtful but at the end of the day, he couldn't say no to his precious daughter and gave her a ton of money to go out.

I took my two servants with me of course but this Mari really likes to eat. We stopped at almost every dessert store that was on the way before she finally took us to the place where the shop was.

The elderly couple were arguing with a haggard looking man while their child hid behind them.

"Excuse me" I said stepping in the middle of their argument

"Get lost" the man said

"This man was rude to me and as my knights you do nothing" Su Wan said glaring menacingly at the guards her father forced her to bring.

She already knew they were here for surveillance but they are getting paid to also protect me.

They hurriedly took the man away as he cursed loudly.

The advantage of a face like this is that it's very easy to threaten people and make them do what you want.

"Thank you miss" the elderly couple said bowing their head, Su Wan could tell they were scared of her but there wasn't much she could do about it so she tried to put on a relaxed face.

"Naturally I have an ulterior motive" Su Wan said waving her hand to stop their thanks

"What could we help the miss with" the man said cautiously

"I would like to procure your shop and hire you" Su Wan said

"Hire us?" The man was confused

"Yes. I want to open a shop that does origami, do you know what that is" Su Wan was sure they didn't know since this was English based and she learnt from the time she grew up in Japan.

" No miss but we can learn" the man said

"Your name" Su Wan asked

"I'm Thomas, my wife Sarah and our son John" the man introduced them.

Su Wan settled the bill by giving them the money then went inside the shop to teach them how to make origami.

She ended up discovering that the son was a good painter so he was assigned the painting of each one.

She was satisfied about achieving her goal so the next thing was of course shopping spree.

After she left the shop, they went to pay for the shop which attracted the interest of the mercenary guild.

He was planning to use the shop as another hideout but it seems someone beat her to it, yes the head was a woman.

I watched the miss with glee appreciating her strong attitude of ordering the guards around.

I turned away while they were talking and saw that two of our teammates seemed to be entangled with suspicious people so I slipped away when she entered the shop to watch the fun.

Ashley stared at the men on the floor which were pinned down by Roland.

"Why did you come here" she asked squinting at them

"Naturally I won't answer you" the man said

"I can make you answer" she said stepping on his fingers hard twisting my foot

"Childish" the man said with gritted teeth

"You're right. I'm being childish since after all, I don't need the reason but I do need to stop you so any last words" she said shrugging shoulders then pulled out a dagger to his throat

"You wouldn't dare to do it" he said laughing so I slit his throat and turned to the next man

"What about you" she said smiling down at him.

"There is a big person that she would get into contact with in this scene so we wanted to stop it at the root" the man said shaking

"Thank you for the information but I meant for you to tell me you're last words" I said placing the dagger at his neck.

"I.." I didn't allow him to finish before I stabbed his heart through the back

I stared at Ash thinking that it was very badass of her, I'm proud.

They went to speak about something but I was distracted by the expensive cloak not far away on a roof that was watching us with interest.

My reader sense is telling me that he's a mercenary with his pose, I'm not sure he heard us but it seems he's too far away to.

I blinked then waved at him happily since after all I'm not the protagonist so it's not my problem if we're caught.

He looked at me then turned away disappearing which reminded me of Derrick who still hasn't sent my bird back, I feel bad for the little guy to be a hostage but oh well, it's time to go shopping with the miss.
