Alexia is in a critical condition

I quickly told one of the cops about my wife who was involved in an accident. The cop decided to follow me to the hospital. The rest of the cops told me that they would give me some time and when I was ready I could go to their station to write a statement about how my friend died. I thanked them and quickly went into a car with the cop who told me she would follow me.

We got to the hospital as fast as we could. I rushed inside the hospital and asked the receptionist about my wife. The receptionist asked what my wife's name was and I told her. The receptionist told me to go to her ward. Obviously she told me my wife's ward number. He then send someone to show me and the cop to the ward they admitted my wife.

We reached there. When I got there, I opened the ward's door. Then I saw my wife. Oh my goodness, she was not in a very good condition. I could not believe my eyes. It was so bad. My wife who used to laugh and play with me even teasing me was in a very critical condition. Then, I remembered that she did not even talk to me well the night before. I was so angry at myself. Now I could not even talk to her not to talk about even eating and making fun of each other.

I was so sad. Then the doctor in charge of my wife's condition knocked on the door quietly. I opened the door and the doctor walked in. I decided to ask him about my wife's condition.

"Doctor, please how is my wife's condition". I asked in a shaken tone.

"Um, I don't know how to tell you this but um your wife's condition is very critical"

I could not believe my ears even though I saw that my wife looked really really bad. Her face and even her whole body had been covered in bandages. She was even using oxygen to breathe. Why did this have to happen to her. She does not deserve this type of punishment in the form an accident. I cried terribly. "My beautiful wife...why, why?".

The doctor told me that she had hit her head on the steering and the windows of the car shattered and stuck on some parts of her body. The places the shattered glass got stuck was bleeding profusely because the shattered glasses stuck deeply into her body. The doctor also told me that she had a blood transfusion because she lost a lot of blood and that if those eyewitnesses had not seen her and had not quickly taken her to the hospital she could have died.

I could not believe it. My wife would have died and I would have not seen her again for the rest of my life. And all I had been thinking of as her husband was wanting to shout at her for letting the gang she worked with kill my friend. I was not a good man. No matter what happened, I did not even try to know what made her angry the night before. Instead I left her there and I was getting angry over her calling me names.

Alexia was my life and I do not want her to die. She can't die. I asked the doctor about her condition and what she needs now.

"Ok doctor I know that my wife is in a critical condition so what should I do now"

"Well what you can do now is to pay for her surgery fees and after the surgery we would see if she would wake up or not but all I want to say is that it depends on fate and God".

"Ok I would go downstairs to pay the surgery fees but please try your very best"

The doctor assured me that the surgeons would give their very best to make the surgery successful. I held my wife's hand for a while. Then I went downstairs. The cop followed me and she looked at me. She told me not to worry that I should rest for some time before I go to the station. I nodded and thanked her for her help. She left after saying some heartfelt words. I went to the cashier and paid the surgery fees for my wife.

Then I went to the doctor and gave him the receipt showing the amount I paid for the surgery. The doctor told me that they would do the surgery that night. I went to my wife's bed and sat beside her on the chair that was next to her bed. I held her hand and said "Alexia please don't.... don't die I can't do anything without you" "I love you Alexia my beautiful, stubborn and cute wife".
