The Soul King raised a hand, and suddenly—
The stars split apart.
The sky fractured.
Reality itself bent to his will.
Sora barely had time to process what was happening before his body was suddenly yanked forward by an unseen force.
"Your body is still too weak," the Soul King stated, his voice echoing through the void. "If you attempt to wield your full power now, you will break apart."
Sora blinked.
"That's... great."
"I will release your power gradually—over time."
Sora nodded. "Okay, okay. So, uh... what does that mean, exactly?" He got the gist of it—his ass would be getting trained extensively.
"It means that, unlike Aizen, who gained his power artificially and too rapidly, your power is naturally growing."
Sora tilted his head. "And that matters because...?" He wanted answers, dammit, not goddamn riddles.
The Soul King gestured with a flick of his fingers.
A vision flashed before Sora's eyes—Aizen, standing tall, his arm trembling. Sora saw it. Whenever the man punched, his bones would break, shattering under the pressure of his own might.
Hm. Sora had noticed it during their fight, but he thought it was an illusion or something.
"Due to the Hōgyoku's forced evolution, Aizen never had time to adapt to his own strength. That is why his body would break whenever he attempted to wield it."
Sora snorted.
"So, what you're saying is... the man skipped leg day for his soul?"
The Soul King paused. Hm. That piece of him had grown used to the boy's attitude, yet sometimes, even he got stunned by the words that came out of the boy's mouth.
Then he sighed.
"Essentially, yes."
Sora grinned. "Okay, so I won't have to worry about that. I'll just adapt naturally."
"Correct. But that also means you are not yet strong enough to fight Aizen."
Sora's grin dropped.
"...Huh?"
"You are not strong enough to face him."
Sora stared at him.
"Okay, but... who can I fight, then?" Since he came here, everyone he heard about would beat his ass. Who was he stronger than, dammit?
"You are already stronger than Yamamoto."
Sora blinked.
"...Huh."
That was... actually kind of neat.
"Once your full potential is released, your body will not be able to keep up with such growth, so your Quincy power may vanish for a while."
Sora blinked, looked at the man, and blinked again.
"Excuse me?"
"You have been excused."
"What's the point of getting that power if I am going to be powerless afterward? Like, come on, I didn't use the Letzt Stil for that reason—I like my wonderful Quincy power!"
Reishi Domination is like the best power ever. Excluding all the busted shit, this is why Quincy are top 2—even you know it," Sora said proudly.
Yes, he had pride in the Quincy lineage. He just hated their king. That was it.
It was like liking a culture but hating its ruler.
"The loss of your Quincy abilities would only be temporary—roughly six months. All of your power should return to you within a year and a few months."
"This is starting to sound like a plot point for an author who made the MC too OP and needed to nerf him for the final boss." Sora Almighty activated, and he began changing some stuff.
"Better. Now only six months, then I get all of it back."
"So you do listen to my lectures," the Soul King said, to which Sora smiled.
"Rewriting fate is fun. I cannot wait to beat the crap out of him... why the fuck is Yhwach fusing with Pernida and Gerard?"
"Every action has a reaction," the Soul King said calmly.
"You will have to face a stronger Quincy King."
Sora grinned.
"I get to beat his ass, and he's buffed? Let's fucking go!"
"Hm."
The Soul King lifted a hand again, revealing another vision.
This time, it was Aizen—and within his chest, the stolen Hōgyoku.
"Aizen took the Hōgyoku from your heart."
Sora rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah, I remember. Painfully."
"However, it is possible to retrieve it."
That got Sora's attention.
"Wait—seriously?"
The Soul King nodded.
"You simply need to resonate with it and shatter its connection to him. Once that is done, he will no longer evolve, and from there—"
A golden ripple spread across the void.
"You can kill him."
Sora frowned.
"...Okay, but, uh—how?"
"You already possess the ability."
Sora raised an eyebrow. "The fuck are you talking about?"
The Soul King gestured again, and suddenly—
Sora saw Aizen.
But something was... off.
There was a wound on Aizen's chest. A deep, gaping cut—one that had never healed.
"The damage you inflicted on him... it never healed."
Sora's eyes widened.
"Wait—why?"
"Because you have adapted to the concept of immortality."
Silence.
Sora blinked.
"...Wait, wait, wait. Hold the fuck up. I did what?"
"Your ability is adaptation. And now, you have reached a point where you can adapt beyond even the constraints of death itself."
Sora stared.
Then pointed at himself.
"You're telling me... that I adapted to immortality itself?"
"Correct."
Sora leaned back.
"Holy shit."
The Soul King nodded.
"All you need is the right attack—and Aizen will die."
Sora let out a long whistle.
"...Neat."
The Soul King lowered his hand.
"There is one more thing you should know."
Sora raised an eyebrow.
"Aizen wishes to become the new Soul King."
Sora blinked.
Then slowly turned to look at the limbless, immobile corpse that was the current Soul King.
Then back to the Soul King's spiritual projection.
Then back at the corpse.
Then back at the projection.
Then back at the corpse.
He squinted.
"...Who the fuck wants to be a vegetable?"
Silence.
Sora winced.
"Uh—no offense, Dad."
The Soul King merely gave him a blank stare.
The Soul King's expression shifted.
"Now then... it is time for you to train."
Sora yawned. "Yeah, yeah, I'll manage. I'm a genius and a prodigy, after all."
The Soul King smiled.
It was... not a normal smile.
"If I find out you are not giving it your all..."
Sora paused.
"I will ensure that Byakuya has a dream of exactly what you did with Rukia that day."
Silence.
Sora's soul left his body.
His face went pale.
His entire body froze.
"...You wouldn't."
The Soul King's smile widened.
Sora's breathing hitched.
"...You fucking would."
The Soul King nodded.
Sora snapped into position.
His back straightened. His muscles tensed. His entire being exuded pure, unfiltered obedience.
He immediately lowered his head in reverence.
"OH HOLY AND WISE SOUL KING, GREATEST OF THE GODS, TRUE LORD OF ALL EXISTENCE, FATHER OF ALL THAT IS RIGHT AND JUST, PLEASE BLESS ME WITH YOUR TEACHINGS AND DIVINE WISDOM."
The Soul King chuckled.
"Good boy."
Sora could just feel himself hating this feeling, acting all submissive like this. Yet there was nothing he could do.
This was his karma for all the shit he did. Maybe giving Uryu a harem would do. Using The Almighty, he could help his brother out.
Let him draft out the harem...
So.
Nemu... 'cause fuck you, Mayuri.
Bambietta... that Quincy chick being sent to seduce him.
Maybe Meninas, if Uryu was into tall women...
Maybe Candice too.
Yes. This should suffice.
A/N
For anyone who could not read between the lines, the soul king is the one that has been placed the restrictions. Sora was being protected at first from Ichebei but after the special arc it was from that thing.
So all the tags, the redacted, that all him.
Just saying that for anyone who didn't get it.
