Chapter 12: Eliminating the black moon sect disciples!

Witnessing the scene, everyone inhaled sharply, their expressions filled with shock and disbelief. The little boy before them exuded an aura of immense power and confidence, leaving no doubt that his background must be extraordinary. The Honglian Sect disciples, who had been drowning in despair moments ago, now felt a flicker of hope reigniting within them.

The Black Moon Sect disciples, on the other hand, were gripped by a growing sense of dread. One of them, attempting to mask his fear, said anxiously, "W-We are affiliated with the Dark Holy Church! If you dare act against us, your background, no matter how strong, will be dragged into trouble as well. Let us leave, and we'll forget this ever happened."

Shi Yun chuckled, his laughter cold and mocking. "Oh, but I dare to do whatever I want. What can your so-called Dark Holy Church do to me?"

The disciple gritted his teeth in frustration. "Don't underestimate us! If we retaliate with everything we've got, it'll be no good for you either!"

"Ha!" Shi Yun's voice turned icy, his eyes narrowing. "So you bully the weak and cower before the strong? How pathetic. Today, I will give justice to those you've wronged. None of you from the Black Moon Sect will leave here alive!"

The chubby dragon, perched leisurely on a rock, gleefully unwrapped a fruit juice pouch and conjured a box of popcorn. "Ah, what a show! Go ahead and use these weaklings as practice dummies, Shi Yun. I'll just enjoy the entertainment!"

Shu Tong, clutching his chest and seething with rage, roared, "Very well! All Black Moon disciples, bring out the flags and activate the Evil Eye Formation!"

Without wasting a moment, the Black Moon Sect disciples arranged themselves in a practiced formation, embedding sinister-looking flags into the ground. A dark, oppressive energy swirled, trapping Shi Yun and the Honglian Sect disciples within.

Shi Yun remained calm, watching the ominous energy spiral around them as if it were a mere sideshow. Meanwhile, the injured Honglian Sect disciples huddled together, their faces pale with terror. One of them muttered despairingly, "This formation... it's too powerful. That boy might survive, but we won't. The Evil Eye Formation creates illusions so strong they drive people mad, forcing them to turn on each other. There's no escape."

The chubby dragon overheard the comment and scoffed loudly. "What weaklings! Giving up before the fight even begins? Truly a shame. It seems finding talents like Shi Yun for Master is a near-impossible task." He shook his head dramatically before popping a piece of popcorn into his mouth.

Within the formation, black tendrils of energy slithered like serpents. Shu Tong sneered triumphantly. "No matter your talent, you're finished now, boy! A pity, really—a genius cut down too soon."

Another disciple grinned wickedly. "After him, we'll roast that fat bird over a fire. What a feast it'll be!"

The chubby dragon sprang to its feet, indignant. "Bird?! You lowly vermin! You look like humans but have no humanity, like beasts but without strength! You're nothing but worms crawling in the dirt! You pig-heads! Your mother doesn't love you and your father doesn't care about you! All your ancestors are cursing at you from their graves, shameless rascals! You all are just useless trashes who are a burden to this earth! Your ancestors must be rolling in their graves from the shame of your existence!"

The Black Moon disciples' faces turned crimson with fury, veins bulging on their foreheads. They looked as if they might explode from sheer anger and stared daggers at the chubby dragon. If looks could kill then the dragon would have died a million times!

Suddenly, the air trembled, and with a loud crack, the formation shattered like fragile glass. The oppressive energy dissipated, and the Honglian Sect disciples gasped, stumbling as if waking from a nightmare. Sweat drenched their brows, and their hearts raced.

Shi Yun's calm voice rang out, cutting through the silence. "How boring. Was that pitiful formation supposed to scare me? Useless trash."

The chubby dragon cackled, his tail wagging smugly. "Hah! They must've thought you'd die of surprise! Too bad for them—you're not so easily impressed."

Humiliation painted the Black Moon Sect disciples' faces as their fury reached a boiling point. "Kill that cursed beast first!" Shu Tong bellowed, leading the charge with his sword raised high.

Before they could take a step, Shi Yun's voice thundered, "Heavenly Tribulation Power!"

The sky darkened abruptly, heavy clouds gathering in an instant. A deafening rumble rolled across the heavens as lightning crackled ominously. Bolts of energy, bright and blinding, descended like divine punishment.

"NO!" The Black Moon disciples screamed in terror, their voices swallowed by the roaring storm. Lightning struck relentlessly, leaving the ground charred and smoking. When it finally ended, the disciples lay motionless, their bodies burnt and unrecognizable.

The Honglian Sect disciples backed away instinctively, staring in awe and terror. Even those who had been secretly observing from the shadows fled, their backs drenched in cold sweat. Such a talent that cannot be found in thousands of years but they dare not covet. What they did not know is that Shi Yun just started cultivating for less than two months.

"What kind of background can produce and nurture such a terrifyingly powerful child? Who knows if some elderly powerhouse might be looking out for his safety?" they murmured amongst themselves as they vanished into the forest.

Meng Yan, trembling, stepped forward and bowed deeply. "Senior, we Honglian Sect disciples owe you our lives. We are eternally grateful for your kindness. May we ask for your name? Can we get the honour to know the name of your master?"

Shi Yun's face softened slightly. "There's no need to repay me. Justice must be upheld. My name is Shi Yun, and this is Long Yi." He gestured toward the chubby dragon.

Long Yi puffed out his chest arrogantly. "Hmph! My lord is the Dark Celestial Sovereign! The arbiter of all realms, the judge of heaven and earth! You can't even fathom his might!"

A female disciple murmured, "But... we've never heard of such a title before."

"Of course, you haven't!" Long Yi snorted. "There are mountains beyond mountains. The mere mortals of this wilderness region can't possibly comprehend the vastness of my lord's power. You should be honored he's even gracing this place with his presence!"

The dragon strutted off proudly, humming a tune. "Ah, the burden of greatness! Too much troubles cause loneliness, what a trouble! Such sweet trouble, indeed!"

Shi Yun followed at a leisurely pace, leaving the Honglian Sect disciples speechless as the boy and the dragon disappeared into the horizon.
