"So what your both saying is that those Demonic Spirits will kill any living thing in the Void because they will sense their Mana."
"Yes."
"But because of my Magic being of a rare variation it will act as camouflage?"
"Correct."
"And you can give me access to a seemingly unlimited amount of riches and magical items from that very same place."
"You have the Demon Imps to thank for that. The little devils love shiny things."
Mel gave them both a smile and proceeded to stab a fork in both of their legs.
"Oh you bitch! Why did you stab me?! We have been completely honest!"
"My pride is hurting more then my leg since I never thought I would be stabbed by a fork!"
Mel forced them to heal their legs again and wiped the blood off of the forks.
Anyone would think Mel was anything but kind hearted women who looks after the little guys.
"How can I possibly believe you when for all I know you'll just shut the door and make me become demon spirit chow."
However Tuan and Jakmol froze like statues while their eyes were fixed at the door only for Mel to look and see Jacob standing there.
"It's you! You broke my dagger now you break into my home?! You got some nerve!"
Jacob ignored Mel's ranting and walked into the living room to get a closer look at Tuan and Jakmol.
"It has been awhile my friends, I hope you are enjoying your time with the Climber."
Jacob forcibly closed Tuan and Jakmol's mouth shut with magic and looked at the riches on the table near Mel.
"So how are they? I can only assume that they would have been helpful if you want to defeat Kantokol."
Mel's eyes widened after Jacob said Kantokol's name before everything clicked together.
"You… you created the Tower's? What do you want? Did these idiots steal these from your place? I haven't even touched them so go ahead and-"
"These trinkets have little value to me so use them at your pleasure. I'm here today to give you some motivation."
Jacob summoned Mel's repaired dagger to his hand while the green gem glowed brightly.
"Your powers are very special. But they need to be refined further. So you'll need a place to train."
Jacob handed Mel her dagger which she reluctantly took before she noticed their surroundings had changed to a training yard in the ruins of an old castle.
"W-W-Where are we?! Where am I!?"
Jacob smirked behind the mask and looked at the castle ruins.
"We're inside the Void but more specifically we are in the ruins of the Demon King."
Mel looked like she was about to feint while Tuan and Jakmol started frantically trying to get out of their binds.
"Don't worry about the Demon King. She has a loving heart despite what you might think about her appearance."
"Huh? What do you mean 'she'?"
Jacob looked above Mel while Tuan and Jakmol were almost begging with their eyes to be killed before Mel noticed a shadow over her.
"Oh my goodness! It's been so long since I've had visitors! Oh is that you Jakmol? Even Tuan is here too? Oh what a wonderful day!"
Mel looked to see the source of the voice and looked up to see the more horrifying creature she had ever seen like she was the embodiment of Evil.
But that facade was blown away as the demon King hugged Tuan and Jakmol like a mother.
"I have some Black Oil Tea and Bedrock Cookies. Let me go get them!"
Mel was taken aback by the Demon Kings demeanour as she started running off to get the tea and cookies before she stopped dead in her tracks and looked at Mel with hearts in her eyes.
"Oh my goodness! Aren't you just the cutest thing I've ever seen! What's your name? You must be the Climber right? I've heard so much about you!"
Mel, Tuan and Jakmol were taken back from her words until Jacob spoke as he ate one of the bedrock cookies that the demon king spoke of.
"Melodea is an excellent sparring partner and quite strong so I asked her to help you."
Melodea snapped her fingers with a gentle smile before a singular demon imp appeared and killed it.
"I've heard of your strange power and thought it would be interesting to see. Would you indulge my curiosity?"
Mel was busy processing information before she came back to reality and started running in the opposite direction before running into an invisible wall.
"Didn't I say before that I put up a barrier to hide your presence? My bad sorry!"
"Mel, I understand your distrustful attitude towards Melodea but in truth she would have killed you the second you came here if she was not a good friend."
Mel rubbed her nose as Jacob released the bonds on Jakmol and Tuan before seeing them run behind Mel.
"What the hell is going on?! Why are you doing this?"
Jacob pondered for a moment before snapping his fingers before a floating flatscreen turned on and showed Aiden training with Mara.
"The other climber is receiving help to train so I thought I would level the playing field."
Tuan and Jakmol came out from there hiding behind Mel to get a closer look at Aiden through the screen before they both motioned for Mel to come and look.
"The other Climber was already reborn once just like you but unlike him you remember the experience."
Mel shot out a confused look at Jacob and was about to ask why before Melodea was the one to answer as she poured several cups of Black Oil tea.
"You have the power to control death so you can withstand remembering your death. The other climber's soul would turn to dust from the experience. You are unique."
Everyone besides Mel nodded in agreement which made Mel look back at the tv and then back at Jacob.
"Why did you make these Towers? Why make us climbers? What is your goal?"
Jacob took a sip of the cup of tea Melodea gave him and brought Mel a cup as well.
"Defeat Kantokol then I will answer your questions. The black oil tea will have a rough texture but it will rejuvenate you."
Mel could tel from the smell of the tea that it was horrible but something encouraged her to dip her tongue into the tea and found it to have a subtle taste before she took a larger sip and felt it was like sipping sandpaper.
But just like Jacob had said before it rejuvenated her body.
"Holy crap! The taste is awful but I feel like I can run across the whole world several times without getting tired!"
Melodea smiled and ran off to brew more tea while Mel began training to summon an undead from the dead Demon Imp.
All while Jacob had Jakmol and Tuan on their knees in front of him with their mouths still closed shut.
"Do not test this second chance or I'll leave you here with Melodea for eternity."
Tuan and Jakmol began to bury their heads into the dirt for forgiveness before Jacob disappeared.
"I'm back! And I brought my signature Electro pretzels! Oh? I guess it's just us now oh well."
Mel continued training to summon and control the Undead Demon Imp to no avail while Tuan and Jakmol were taste testing Melodea's new devil baking recipes.
