THE REVELATION

The family gathered in the majestic living room of the mansion, their faces somber and expectant. Mr. Kane, the lawyer, stood before them, a somber expression on his face.

"Before we begin," Mr. Kane said, clearing his throat, "I want to warn you all that the contents of Ethan's will may come as a shock to some of you."

Kyle felt a knot form in his stomach as he glanced around the room. Rachel, Malcolm, and Vivian looked anxious, while Victoria seemed confident, almost smug.

Mr. Kane opened his briefcase and pulled out a thick, leather-bound document. "This is the last will and testament of Ethan Wayne," he announced, his voice formal.

As Mr. Kane began to read, Kyle listened intently, wondering what the will would reveal.

Mr. Kane cleared his throat and began to read from the document. "I, Ethan Wayne, being of sound mind and disposing memory, do hereby declare this to be my Last Will and Testament."

Kyle listened as Mr. Kane read through the introductory clauses, his heart racing with anticipation. What would Ethan's final wishes be?

Mr. Kane continued to read, his voice steady and clear. "I appoint my trusted lawyer, Mr. Kane, as the Executor of my estate. I give, devise, and bequeath all of my property, real and personal, tangible and intangible, wherever situated, as follows..."

Kyle's eyes locked onto Mr. Kane's face, his mind racing with possibilities. Who would inherit Ethan's wealth?

Mr. Kane paused, looking up at the family before continuing. "I leave my entire estate, including the Batman World empire, with a total value of 43.6 billion dollars, to my beloved son, Kyle hunter Bartman."

The room fell silent, with all eyes turning to Kyle in surprise. Victoria's face fell, her eyes widening in shock. Rachel, Malcolm, and Vivian looked on, stunned by the enormity of the inheritance. Kyle himself was stunned, unsure of what to say.

Victoria's face turned beet red with rage as she slammed her fist on the armrest. "This can't be!" she screamed, her voice echoing through the room. "Ethan would never leave everything to...to...him!" she spat, pointing a trembling finger at Kyle.

"You're a bastard, Kyle!" Victoria shrieked, her eyes blazing with fury. "You're nothing but a filthy, illegitimate bastard! You don't deserve any of this!"

Rachel, Malcolm, and Vivian gasped in shock, their faces pale with discomfort. Mr. Kane's expression remained calm and professional, but his eyes narrowed slightly as he watched Victoria's outburst.

"How dare you, Ethan!" Victoria raged on, as if Ethan were still present. "How dare you betray me like this! I'm your wife, your partner, your everything! And you leave everything to...to...that...that..." she spluttered, unable to find words vile enough to describe Kyle.

Kyle himself sat frozen, his face pale and his eyes wide with shock. He had never seen Victoria like this before, and he didn't know how to react.

Victoria's face turned red with rage as she glared at Kyle. "You?" she spat. "You're just a bastard child. You don't deserve any of this."

Kyle felt a surge of anger at Victoria's words, but he kept his cool. He had never met his father, and he had never expected to inherit his fortune.

The lawyer, Mr. Kane, looked at Victoria with a stern expression. "I'm afraid the will is quite clear, Mrs. Bartman," he said. "Kyle Hunter is the sole beneficiary of Mr Bartman wealth.

Victoria's eyes narrowed. "This is a mistake," she said. "I will contest this will and make sure that Kyle never gets his hands on a single penny."

Rachel, Malcolm, and Vivian watched the exchange in uncomfortable silence, their faces reflecting their shock and dismay. Mr. Kane's expression remained firm, his eyes locked on Victoria.

"I assure you, Mrs. Bartman," Mr. Kane said, "the will is legally binding and has been thoroughly vetted. Any attempts to contest it will be met with significant resistance and, in all likelihood, will be unsuccessful."

Victoria's face twisted in a scowl, her eyes flashing with anger. "We'll see about that," she roared, her voice dripping with venom. "I'll have my lawyers review the will and find any loopholes or technicalities that can be used to challenge it."

Kyle watched the exchange with a mixture of emotions. On one hand, he was relieved that the will had been read and he had been named the sole beneficiary. On the other hand, he was anxious about the prospect of a lengthy and costly legal battle with Victoria.

Mr. Kane cleared his throat, interrupting the tense silence. "I think that's enough for today," he said. "I'll leave you all to process the contents of the will. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to me."

With that, Mr. Kane gathered his papers and left the room, leaving the family to deal with the fallout of Ethan's surprising decision.

As soon as Mr. Kane left the room, the tension seemed to escalate. Victoria's face was still twisted in a scowl, her eyes blazing with anger. Rachel, Malcolm, and Vivian looked on uncomfortably, unsure of what to say or do.

Kyle, however, felt a sense of relief wash over him. He had been named the sole beneficiary of Ethan's estate, and he knew that his life was about to change in ways he couldn't even imagine.

But as he looked around the room, he knew that he couldn't celebrate just yet. Victoria's anger and resentment were palpable, and he knew that she would stop at nothing to contest the will and claim the inheritance for herself.

"I don't know how you did it, Kyle," Victoria spat, her voice venomous. "But I'll find out. And when I do, you'll be sorry you ever crossed me."

Kyle felt a shiver run down his spine as he met Victoria's gaze. He knew that he had to be careful, that he had to protect himself and his inheritance from Victoria's wrath.

But as he looked around the room, he also knew that he wasn't alone. Rachel, Malcolm, and Vivian seemed to be on his side, and he knew that he could count on them to support him in the days ahead.

"Let's just calm down and talk about this," Rachel said, her voice soothing. "We can't change the will, but we can try to understand why Ethan made the choices he did."

But Victoria was having none of it. "I don't want to talk about it," she snapped. "I want to contest the will and get what's rightfully mine."

And with that, she stormed out of the room.

The room fell silent after Victoria's dramatic exit. Kyle let out a deep breath, feeling a mix of emotions: relief, anxiety, and uncertainty.

Rachel, Malcolm, and Vivian looked at each other, then back at Kyle. "Well, that was...enlightening," Malcolm said, trying to break the tension.

Vivian nodded. "I think we can all agree that Victoria is not happy about the will."

Rachel walked over to Kyle and put a hand on his shoulder. "Are you okay, Kyle? That was a lot to take in."

Kyle nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude towards Rachel. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a bit...overwhelmed."

Malcolm stood up. "I think we should give Kyle some space. This is a lot to process, and we don't want to add to his stress."

Vivian nodded in agreement. "Yes, let's give him some time to think. We can talk more about this later."

As the others began to file out of the room, Kyle felt a sense of relief wash over him. He was grateful for their support and understanding.

But as he looked around the empty room, he couldn't shake the feeling that this was only the beginning of a long and difficult journey. Victoria's anger and resentment were not going to go aw

ay easily, and Kyle knew that he would have to be prepared to face her wrath head-on.
