53 - Flying Through Boredom

Gilded? Is that the right description? I guess…But LET ME CONTINUE ON! 

Ahem! As I stare up at the sky, the darkness casts over everything surrounding me. And with this darkness, I'm staring straight into the abyss…As if the island is absorbing the light above.

Huh? Thinking about it…Doesn't it seem strange? Especially with how the island only seems big enough to cover the moon? Like an eclipse, except there's no outline of light surrounding the moon. Only pure darkness….

No outline, no light, no nothing…How do I even see this? Night vision doesn't have this much range anyway, so how am I able to see through this? 

This isn't night vision anymore….It's getting way too complicated now…Let's just take action first. Thud Thud Thud First, walk around for a little bit and see if things change

If there's nothing, then I'll think of something by then. Thud Thud…

Damn it I don't feel tired! There's nothing to exhaust me from continuing on, nothing stressful, only walking! It's being bored that's killing me right now and it's driving me insane. 

GOODNESS ME! IS THAT WHAT I THINK IT IS! YEAH! IT'S.........…..NOTHING!!!!! THUD THUD Ah screw it! Imma see how long I'll keep going, risky if I get tired but just gotta have something to do.

Is it like glass? Which part would hurt less being cut?! UH!? CRK! CRKKKKKKKKKKKTCHHHHHHHHH TCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Holy CRAP!!!!!... WHOOSH! 

Why is the island flying into the air?! WHOOSH THUNK! OW! THE GRAVITY IS PUSHING MY BODY STRAIGHT TO THE GROUND!!!! 

TCHHHHHHSHHHHHH SHHHHHHHHH Haaa F***! I'm floating too…guess that means the crystals I'm standing now are floating. 

CRKkkkRKKK CRKKK CRAK! Sh**! CRACKLE! CRACKLE! AHHH MY EARS!!! WHOOOSH! 

TCHHHH! WOOOSH TCH! WHOOSH TCH WHOOSH! AND THEN THERE WAS *SILENCE*.............................................

…I'm not even surprised anymore…AHEM AHEM…

As I sat in the middle of the darkness, breathing out the boredom of such a body. I felt a stir in the air…No, to be more precise, I WAS UP IN THAT SAME AIR! 

And while in the air, the ground changed from ground to sand in a single moment. Like if that wasn't enough, the crystals were grinding with each other while in the process of the transformation. Ruining my ears before finally silence…and the fact that I'm now seeing the moonlight again.

And more importantly…Was there something in the ground that was brought up with me? Because I'm now seeing a glass dome a distance away from me, reflecting light into the crystals floating around it.

Or was it up here originally? Looking down…I'm able to see the reflective crystal shining back to me, so it looks like there's light now. And something else….? The island wasn't fully brought up.

I can see through it…to the haze below me. Remember how I said that without light I can only see hazeness? Welp, now all I can see below is the grayish haze of a desert…

This kinda reminds me of those tall trees in forests…The ones that grow taller than others in order to get sunlight, yet forsakes those below leaving only crumbs for them. Only this time, its like the island here is stealing the light from the Crystal Dunes below. Because I'm not sure how to even explain the dark eclipse, with no light outlining the island.

And another strange part of this, is why did the ground beneath me fly up into the air? Was it like some sort of attraction, like a magnet? Or is it like finding a better place? 

Whoosh Thud Thud At least its still stable though….I think. Thud Thud Is this place any different than the Crystal Dunes or is it just another one of its kind?

Hmmm? What is that smudge moving around? It's about half the height of the dome….wait…
