Arthur followed calmly behind Daniel as they both walked into the tent. He looked around with curiosity at the people sitting around a table. His gaze first landed on Genevieve, a woman full of elegance and warmth. She had a slim, tender figure, black hair, and beautiful blue eyes. She was the type of beauty every man would instinctively want to protect.
Sitting to her right was a stark contrast to her serene vibe: Jack, a man with a huge, muscular build and a rough, menacing face. He looked like a wild beast, with eyes that carried the gaze of a predator ready to pounce at any moment. Beside Jack sat Alexander, whose scholarly appearance was tinged with a cunning look, like that of a sly fox. His sharp eyes hinted at a calculating mind, always seeking ways to exploit the weaknesses of others.
Jessica, with fiery red hair, voluptuous curves, and a seductive aura, was another stark contrast in the room. She seemed to revel in the lustful gazes of men, though her demeanor suggested she wouldn't hesitate to stomp on anyone who dared cross the line. Sitting beside her was Seth, a blonde-haired man who appeared disinterested in everything happening in the tent. His wandering gaze suggested he was thinking of someone he yearned to be with. Next to him was his wife, Emilia, who radiated a graceful and mature atmosphere, exuding a motherly and soothing presence.
"Thought the task was too much for you, Daniel. Expected you to come back empty-handed," Jessica teased with a wry smile.
Daniel ignored her, prompting Jessica to click her tongue in mock annoyance. "Tsk, no fun," she muttered.
Her eyes then turned to Arthur. "And who do we have here? The crown prince? Oh my, it seems your uncle did a number on you. You look malnourished and, well, dying. Was he really that brutal with his torture?"
Arthur's bruised, cut, and battered body drew a faint trace of pity from her, but he ignored her just as Daniel had.
"Hey! Daniel ignoring me is one thing, but you too? Nah, now you're pissing me off," Jessica said, though her playful tone remained intact.
"Come, child, let me heal you," Genevieve said gently, smiling warmly at Arthur.
Arthur looked to Daniel for reassurance, unsure of whether to trust her. Daniel gave him a nod, and Arthur walked toward her. Genevieve cast a high-level healing spell, erasing every sign of torture from his body. Not a single scar remained, and the spell restored the royal, handsome features the deposed prince once had, barring his malnourished appearance.
"Wow, it seems we have a cute lad in our midst," Jessica remarked with curiosity.
"Stay away from the kid, pedo," Jack said, his deep voice cutting through the tent.
"Shut up, baldie," Jessica retorted.
"Well, excuse their manners, young prince. But I'd advise you to get used to it—especially with Jess. You'll be hearing it often," Alexander said with a wry smile.
He continued, "We are the commanders of the Revolutionary Army. Each of us once served under your father and remained loyal to him. Unfortunately, we couldn't be there when he needed us most, and he met his end. Unable to change the past, we chose to avenge him and ensure his son reclaims what is rightfully his—or we all join him in death. Thus, the Revolutionary Army was formed, united with all those who share this dream."
Alexander gestured to each person in turn. "This is Jack, the wild beast. I'm Alexander, the strategist. Jessica is the Flame Witch. Genevieve is the Holy Saintess. Seth is the Swordmaster, and his wife, Emilia, is a Druid. Lastly, standing beside you is Daniel, the Assassin Swordsman."
Arthur nodded in acknowledgment, relieved to avoid another round of Jessica's teasing.
"Alright, can we leave now? I've got somewhere important to be," Seth said, his impatience evident.
"Tsk, always impatient," Alexander said, smirking. "It's not like your daughter is going anywhere, Seth." "what do you expect from the daughter obsessed man," Jessica said rolling her eyes.
"Today's her awakening day, four-eyes. I'm not missing it, and Jessica I'm not obsessed, I'm just a loving father, know the difference" Seth snapped, before his face returned to one of longing, earning a sigh from Jessica.
"Well, then we can all go together and witness the future of the revolution against the usurper," Daniel said calmly cutting the bickering short, his voice as detached as ever. "Besides, Arthur is twelve as well and needs to be there for his awakening."
Everyone's interest was piqued at this revelation.
"Then we shall see the talent of our Emperor-to-be," Alexander said, a wide smile spreading across his face.
"Indeed, that will be fun. Don't disappoint me, young prince. Who knows, this aunty might give you a kiss if your talent is good," Jessica teased with a seductive smile.
"He's a child, Jessica. Show some restraint," Emilia chided, her soothing voice cutting through the banter.
The sitting generals rose from their seats and left the tent together, anticipation filling the air. They looked forward to witnessing Arthur's awakening. Would he awaken Viz or Nexa? Or perhaps, for the first time in history, he might awaken both.
Only time would tell.
