Unlike Lich, Zerachial was useful and could be used in combat. He saw what it did to the gore hound and admitted he would lose to Father Linus if he fought the man before his evolution.
"Speak," Dylan said in a dry tone.
He wasn't worried that the demon was too close for comfort, nor did he worry about it. So many things changed due to his evolution, and with all those changes came confidence like never before.
Especially now, he understood what his Infernal transformation does. In that mode he was more demon than human, that was why he needed to die first. High-speed regeneration, immensely enhanced physical capabilities, and a stronger bond to the flames of hell.
The ability was only in its first tier, which is why he didn't have many physical changes—Dylan suspected he would become more beast than man with each upgrade he made on the ability.
With such power, he had no reason to fear a common demon like Zerachial.
